Basic/Mid range MSi laptops are poorly constructed. I checked out the Camo Squad version in Scan and I could twist the screen lid with ease. It was quite horrific how easy it was to twist. Go for ASUS or Dell if you want a better construction.

Rubbish. It's all dependent on what model you buy. All of the manufacturers have budget built models varying in quality. This isn't in the same model range as that camo model either.

IPS screen on this so adding a msata SSD as a boot drive and it's ideal for a sub £900 budget machine.

2 reviews on the site and both not good

No the Camo Squad is a GP model which you should know is more expensive than GL models. GL models are the basic. Did I not say that it was the basic/mid range that are poorly constructed???? Oh, by the way, this machine does not have an IPS screen, it's optional according to MSi, and the Very website does not mention anything about it having an IPS screen!!!!
Go to a store and see how many GL and GP models have flimsy screen lids and you will be surprised. Yes, GT models are better constructed but more expensive at around £1800 +. I work with PC's, Mac's and all laptops on a daily basis so I know a duff machine when a see one. Take me up on my challenge about comparing MSi GL and GP models vs ASUS and Dell!

Sorry, the Camo Squad is a GE model which still is considered better than GL's even by MSi. Check the MSi specs and compare.

It's actually not a bad deal with laptop prices being through the roof at the moment. Not sure about what others are saying re MSI laptops but hardware seems to be about right for the price. It may go a little cold but doesn't deserve to go freezing. I'm hoping the prices will start to drop but not bad if you want something now.

Comparing what?

A range vs Dell/ASUS whole ranges? My point' was all the manufacturers have a selection of ranges some of which are more cheaply built than others. If you 'work with' 'all laptops' 'on a daily basis' you would know this.
