Looks to be a leading price for i5 + 1050 from a 'proper gaming' brand. Good for eSports and older games.

Good deal, reasonable screen, can put an SSD in the mSata slot.

Also includes Gaming Backpack (black), Gaming Mouse Mat, Lucky Dragon edge of cup figurine, Gaming Sticker with this product

Same price on Amazon so I recommend buying there. Personally wouldn't touch eBuyer but the buyers choice

How important is a ssd for gaming?

Not as critical but you would expect it to have an SSD when spending £700. Also is a lot faster when it comes to Windows updates, software installation and anything that reads/writes on the laptop (usb, hard drive, portable devices etc)

Looking around, I'd say that you would need to spend £800 to get an SSD

I was actually spending double that on a Alienware r13 OLED

VERY important. The SSD can speed up your laptop by 100-500% in load times. Not to mention every app gets launched instantly.

Shorter loading times. SSDs have much smaller capacities for the same cost though, so you'll quickly run out of space given how immense modern games are! Keep in mind that you can easily upgrade your laptop hard drive later on when SSDs should fall further in cost and increase in capacity. Some of the people here seem to think the few seconds you save here and there when launching apps is the only thing gamers want. I doubt most of them actually play anything demanding though.

The priority for gaming is the GPU, CPU and the screen. Those can't really be upgraded on laptops.
I only have a 128gb SSD but I use it for system and all apps for a speedy system but I run all of my games from my HDD. It will be amazing to run games from and SSD, maybe in the future lol

Let me guess... you think it should have a 1070, i7HQ, 16GB DDR4, 256 NVMe SSD.... and be the same price?

Nope but would expect it to have at least a 1050 TI 4gb for £700. Never mind the extra you have to pay on ssd.

Fair enough but don't believe you would find a 1050Ti notebook from MSI, or comparable brand, in the post Brexit world of PC pricing for £700.
