Been looking for a new laptop for a while, missed out on the Currys deals but this seemed a good offer to me.

Let down by poor GPU.
At that price, one should expect no less than a 1050ti

Why are these machines constantly flooding HUKD as hot?

They are a dual core low rates CPU backed by a medicore GPU and this is just a standard price.

There are no specs on that list that make anything hot? Or am I missing something, and no offence to OP, there seems to be a massive spike of this exact spec, at this price point being posted constantly. Can we just agree that this is RRP?

When I looked around for this spec. they were either no SSD or TN display, so it seemed reasonable to me... Btw its quad core not dual

Gimme this for £500 maybe I'll pull the trigger

Yeah I forgot that it's Skylake that had dual core i5's.

3rd one with similar specs, replacing 1tb hard drive with 128 gb ssd. not really much difference between the offers.

Its not replacing, it has both. The ssd is connected to the m.2 pci-e gen 3 port, the hdd is on a sata 3
