For those who are hurting from missing out on the Dell deal this one might ease the pain. I think a very good price for the specification. Not super slim but this means the cooling should be reasonable. Plus has an RGB keyboard if that's your thing.

  • GeForce GTX 1060 Graphics card <-- 3GB not MaxQ
  • 15.6 Inch Screen
  • Intel Core i7 7700HQ Processor
  • 8 GB RAM <-- Might want to upgrade this...
  • 1TB Hard Drive + GB128GB SSD
  • 1920 x 1080 Full HD Screen
  • VR Ready
  • Windows 10 Operating System

Update 05/04/2018 21:10 - Price gone up to £949.97 from £899.97. Still represents good value in my view.

Update 06/04/2018 13:42 - Price dropped to £899.97, so spanking value again.

I bought this laptop during Spanish 10% off ebay deal. Ended up getting it for £675 refurbished with 12 months warranty (only difference is 16GB of RAM). It arrived yesterday and looks really good especially the keyboard. The screen hinge is quite loose compared to my Dell laptop, so need to be careful about it. Mine suffers from IPS back light bleeding, but then so did my Dell laptop, so nothing new here lol It's not noticeable during use, so no big deal.

There is a lot of MSI bloatware installed, so I suggest you do a clean Windows install. Also, it is supposed to come with Toshiba 128GB M.2 Sata SSD but it's quite slow compared to other SSDs, so I would personally upgrade it. Mine actually came with Kingston, but I assume that's due to being refurbished. I swapped mine for Samsung Evo 850 256GB (from my Dell laptop).
Good machine. Good price. I bought the 17" version with the 1050 graphics card in September last year for just under £800.

Only criticism I can think of is that while the keyboard layout may be good for gaming, certain keys are hard to find like Home, Delete and # compared to a standard keyboard, so takes a bit of getting used to
Thanks for taking the time to post @Cerberus256 good first deal

What spec is this deal you've done - I can't get save13 to work.
Managed to get the £499 Dell Deal- i5, 1050, 8GB RAM.

Plenty for 90% of games and runs like a dream.

This is a decent deal though for the current market although imho laptops are far overpriced in general
Is this deal still active ?
Deal is still active at £899
If only it was 17 inch and 800.
