Great deal on gaming laptop but there are conditions! Read carefully.

This is great deal but not everyone will be able to get it. Currently, it's being sold for £999.99 but very has an offer of 20% back on computers taken out on 12 month buy it now, pay later terms if you purchase before 14 December. If you pay it back within 12 months you won't pay any interest. If you don't pay it back within 12 months then you'll end up paying a pretty hefty rate of interest so don't bother unless you know you can pay it back within that time. Not everyone loves very so this deal is not for them. However, I've done this twice now with Littlewoods (very's sister company) and have saved a packet. Before you order, make sure you select the the 12 month BNPL terms otherwise you won't be getting 20% back.

The MSI GP62MVR 7RFX Gaming Laptop is built for entertainment – it's even ready for virtual reality.

Thanks to the combination of an Intel® Core™ i5-7300HQ processor and 8Gb RAM, including streaming, downloads and esports gaming action. Dedicated nVidia GeForce GTX1060 3Gb graphics let you play your favourite games in full 1080p quality. It laso provides an exceptionally smooth, powerful mobile platform for VR games.

The 15.6 inch display features a full HD (1920x1080) resolution for stunningly detailed and colourful images. Nahimic VR is the world first audio solution to bring 7.1 sound to a regular stereo headset. The result is a full and breath-taking VR experience for the gamers through combining VR video and 3D audio together.

A 256Gb Solid State Drive ensures a super-fast boot-up every time, while the 1Tb (1000Gb) hard drive provides lots of storage space.

Cooler Boost Technology boosts the airflow so no matter how intense a game or work gets, your laptop will always stay cool. You can also switch between different profiles to either push your system to the extreme or extend the battery life.

The USB 3.0 Type-C SuperSpeed transfer mode supports up to 5Gbps transfer speed, 10x faster than the standard USB 2.0.

The elegant brushed aluminium chassis features a backlit keyboard with 1.9mm of key travel for better responsive and tactile feedback, an optimum WASD zone and anti-ghosting capability for up to 45 keys.

The 1060 3gb is a very good card if you don't go 4k.

Well, you'll have £999.99 of credit and in a month or two, very will take approximately £200 of the bill leaving you with approximately £800 to pay. That's how it worked for my Littlewoods deals and I'm pretty sure that's how it will work with this one. However, I'm not absolutely positive.

I have never bought anything on credit. Could I order this on credit and then a couple of weeks later just pay the full balance and still get the 20% off?

You need very to credit the 20% first. When that's done you can pay it off as quickly as you want, I believe.
This or the Xiaomi Mi notebook pro?

I'm liking the Mi but not sure i could live with a US keyboard layout and cannot see how i could get a UK keyboard for that laptop.

the price is sub £600 though.

Isn't this a desktop card comparison?

I may be wrong but I think the 1050, 1050ti, 1060, 1070 and 1080 are supposed to be just powerful in laptops as they are in their desktop counterparts. Can someone who really knows what they're talking about confirm that either way? Cheers.

They are pretty much on level with desktop counter parts. They are actually a tiny bit slower usually but nothing like they used to be. The thing I would worry about with this laptop is the i5 but at this price its still good. i5 in CPU intensive games might bottleneck the card (Micro stutter). CPU intensive games- BF1 multiplayer, ashes of singularity
GPU intensive - witcher 3, skyrim and any fps single player.

I still think it's a good deal though.
Anybody know what the screens like? If it was the 6gb 1060 I'd be on it like a shot

I know what you mean. For a few hundred quid more I could get better specs and be more future proofed! Also wouldn't have to buy from very

I Like the mi notebook but the lack of warranty keeps me from buying it. This msi is a lot better for gaming though, the mi for portability and is still good for content creation etc.

Not quite, but surprising closer than I thought it might be.. Still, 23% average FPS is quite a difference - but that is game dependent so may not be an issue. Would prefer 4Gb on the card rather than 3 for texture loading, but the results are pretty decent..

The xiaomi mi pro only has a mx150 (gtx 1030) and is not a gaming laptop this one is so decide what you need for yourself and then you wont have to ask stupid questions.

Is is it this one OMEN by HP 15-ce020na Gaming Laptop - GTX 1060 G-SYNC? Works out at £999. How you getting on with the 1050ti?

I think some of the Black Friday deals were actually okay considering some of the prices around now. Should of gone for one of the amazon deals with the mix reality head set.

Looks like like I could get a Lenovo 910 with a 1070 8gb card for £1200 through work. Don't know much about it though.
how does this stack up against this hp, i can see its 1050ti but has 4gb, although only 128ssd, then again it has free vr bundle which could sell for £200 on ebay :

hp laptop
So they passed me for £750 credit. I might being stupid here but does anyone know how I can pay the £258.98 difference? When I go through payment it shows that I can pay on 12 months BNPL or the full about but nothing about putting a partial payment through. Any ideas people? I want to order this deal!
What are people’s experiences with Very? Doing a bit of google searching is finding nothing but terrible reviews

1060 Evan the 3gb is a much more powerful card compared to the 1050ti.

As others have mentioned the mobile 1060 is about 10% slower than the desktop version which is amazing compared to the massive difference in the last generation mobile chips.

Use unidays it will be 949 pound. Stack with code it will be 860. Didn't know whether they accept at Che kot or not. Wanting to sell mine 1050ti for 650 pound. But ppl keep asking 600 only. It is pretty good I reckoned. I will keep it if nobody want to buy it and just build desktop down the road

That i5 is nothing to worry about it's not a low power U piece of junk it's the HQ versus amended as in the MSI PL62 7RC I bought for £599 last month. It's passmark score is only a fraction behind an 8250u.

We're all do used to seeing U CPU's in laptops we expect mediocrity when you see laptop & i5 but the 7300HQ is a fair match with the 1060,if the video were a 1070 or higher maybe worry but not here...

I can't believe this is almost identical to the pl62 aside from a 1060 instead of an MX150 and it's £300 more

It's not that simple though I agree the mobile will be a little slower but we've got no way of knowing what CPU was paired with those 1060's in laptops could have been U class processors hobbling a couple if results that dragged the avg score down.

I'd really want to see testing with detailed specs of the test environment first

Actually the 8th gen Intel U processors are faster and more power effiecient meaning it will be cooler than the 7300HQ. So you are wrong about it being junk.

Sorry but I have to disagree with the 7300q. I have had experience with a laptop paired with i5-6300hq and 1060. Just checking the i5 7300hq and it is the exact same technology and architecture CPU just clocked 0.2 GHz faster.

My experience with i5 hq's and 1060's was stutters in CPU intensive games.
