The RX580 has the more forward thinking technology and is better for Vulkan based games, of which there's not many at all. All in all it's about the same. It's best to have a look at which games you play and are likely to play and see which returns the best FPS.

I used them in the past with no issues until i had to return a faulty monitor, this is where the problems started, First they said fine and told me to wait on the email to send item back only to get a email saying they rejected my request WHAT THE F*** lesson learned never use novatech.

In a Techspot test in the summer bench marking 27 different titles the RX580 came out 2 percent faster when the results were all averaged out. 2 percent is practically a margin of error. There is nothing in it, and different games could swing the result a small margin either way.

This GTX1060 card likely runs at a higher clock speed than the one used in those tests making it a tad faster, so it's all about a choice of what you prefer.

If its in warranty they are legally obliged to take it back from you and then they send it to the company they bought it from. I was told once, not from novatech to send it to the makers, I said no, quoted some legal line jargon I got from the internet (knowing your shopping rights) and they said ok straight away. They even paid for it to be picked up and replaced it within 48hrs. There was a £1500 custom built PC with it, and said I wanted and needed to use it straight away... samsung monitor was broken on opening.

Think about clothing, do you send it to the makers of the garment (99/100 a sweatshop in china) or go to the shop. Electrical retailers like Novatech and others IMO take the mick telling you to contact the brand makers.

Yes it was in warranty but i couldn't be bothered with the hassle. NOvatech never again.

Been wanting to upgrade soon but discovered about this mining has created a false market so will hold off buying until it settles down. Once the bubble bursts there will be a deluge of used cards flooding the market and prices for gamers will become more realistic

We hope.... Providing some other crypto or something doesn't come along to ruin our upgrade plans!

I've been waiting since August to buy a 1060 6GB card. I was hoping for a decent offer on Black Friday but nothing happened. I don't think the mining business is going away anytime soon. As soon as one currency dies off, another seems to appear. Hopefully something shows up in January but i'm not counting on it after BF. I'm just pretty disappointed that I bought a few games in BF sales that I wanted to play over Xmas - thinking that I would get a card...
