Where did they find these? back of Jensen Huang sofa?. These have been out of production for over a year.

I got one of these to do a cheap VR build.... my word they don't half pump out some hot air compared to 1070

Excellent deal!
Whats the chances that the 2-year old 1070 will come down to this price before year end?

Non existent with current sky high gpu pricing! Between high demand from miners and component shortages i dont think there is a chance of a sub £300 gtx1070 anytime this year or much of next either.

This is a absolute bargain. They could get way more in current gpu climate! Heated.
ive got a RX 580 nitro for 250 from amazon when they come back in stock...should I just get this?
They're going fast.
Ordered. Will sell my spare 1060 6Gb :d
Thanks Op, Great spot

Need to sell my 980 now lol

Definitely. The 580 is broadly equivalent to the 1060, whereas the 980Ti is broadly equivalent to the 1070. You'll get around 20% more performance for only 10% more money, and also save yourself a potentially very long wait.
I was tempted to buy this but ultimately put off by the 250w on full load compared to the 1070's 160w.
Op, thank you for this deal!
Great deal considering the current market! I've made a purchase, thanks OP.
Gone from 17 in stock to 3 in a few minutes..

There were 20 in stock when I posted the deal - they're going damned fast.

yes!!
Sold out
No longer available
Grabbed one. Thanks OP! Have been waiting for that GTX 1070 from Amazon 2 months ago and it's starting to look like it will never be delivered, so this is a great alternative. And even if that 1070 still ends up coming, I could easily flip this card with a profit

It was never going to last long. Still, as long as some of you grabbed a bargain, it's all good.

You'll find that once the difficult goes up, the cards will flood out of the market.

Just wait for a mini bubble/crash price spike and you'll get a cheap card.
Not surprised they flew off the shelves. Was a total bargain
Grabbed one to replace the 1060 6GB that I got for ~£220 last month. (Still not actually started the build!)

Thanks!
Got one...I think. It says it's "Status : Active/Pending authorisation".

No money has gone out of my account even though I've got a notification from my bank.

I bought mine when they had 8 left in stock. So they really shouldn't have.

The GTX 1070 came out in June 2016, one year ago. Are you a time traveller from the future? If so, did we survive the nuclear war with North Korea? PS/ a belated "hot deal"; I was hoping for a deal like this last December before I picked up my 1070.

Yeap, i have my I7 core/GTX970 OC build nice, cool and quiet even under load, so a 1070 is my next card so it does not mess with my perfectly balanced case eco system. lol

Seems a bit daft to get a 1070 if you're not buying soon tbh.
Why, what is so urgent that requires a 1070 now?

Ideally I would of preferred a 1070 for the less power/heat and 2gb extra vram but not at the expense of around £100 (given that game performance wise there is very little in it) but I will be happy going from a 970 to a 980 ti

A luxury I don't really need right now.
Can someone explain why they'd want this over a 1070 I've searched via gpu boss even comparing the 1060 both are far better #newbiehere

Are you remembering to write the ti part, very important

GPUBoss is an utterly useless site. The 980 Ti is a lot more powerful than a 1060, which is more comparable to a 980. The 980 Ti is generally around as fast as the 1070. It can even surpass a 1070 when comparing them both in an overclocked state, though it depends on the title. For under £300, for a good model with a solid cooler, when the very cheapest single fan 1070s are selling for £100 more, it's a good deal.
