It's faster than a 940 in previous generations of gaming laptops and it's plenty fast enough for gaming.

I bought the PL62 7RC which is in the Prestige range basically this but without the backlit keyboard of RGB wonderment.

There's no hatch for easy access you have to remove like 12 screws then prise off the hinge cover then separate the entire bottom part of the case it's a total bitch of a job.

I paid £599 for the I5 7300HQ, 8GB RAM, 1TB HD and I added a M2 SSD myself.

I've tried it out at medium levels it played the games I tried reasonably well they were playable anyway.

You're highly unlikely to get a 1060 at this price and if you turn your nose up at this then you'll likely be equally unimpressed with anything 1050 based so you're adding about another £200 minimum to get a 1060.

Please, be realistic, this card is worst than 960m, and you can't really run newer games on 960, unless you play on minimum settings...
The one from Amazon is better. You can get the GTX 1050 Asus i5 for 599.

Yeah and my Citroen C3 is an F1 car because it can take part in an F1 race.

Going by a few reviews a 1050 can play newer titles at 1080p with medium settings and a MX150 can just about get the same frames with low settings.

Sorry basing it on having it in front of me chum not off some random website.

The MX150 is better than the 940m I said (not the 980m), which is still on sale in laptops in the same price bracket, it also uses less power I believe.

Just because YOU equate gaming as playing the latest AAA at 4k/60fps not everyone does.

Witcher 3 sits at about 35fps. My bad it's not just the standard medium setting its custom with most things set to medium or high and 1 or 2 to low running at 1080. Go ahead tell me that's not playable....

As I said I'm not basing it on benchmarks or reviews or opinion pieces from some website but personal experience with the computer in front of me. Don't forget you're also dealing with an HQ CPU and not a U SKU which is going to make some difference.

Obviously a 1060 or higher would be better, more future proof and play newer titles for longer if you're that sort of gamer but it's perfectly usable right now if you're a light or a younger gamer.

Well they said you can game with a MX150 and you can also race with a C3, but it doesnt mean its a racing car. Thanks for calling me a muppet by the way, but making the comment about French cars is just a few decades out of date. Anyway, who said I bought it, it's actually a brand new company lease for a month or two and I think it's a fantastic car, Android Auto on the built in screen is fantastic and the 110 ps engine is great. Just came from a 17 plate 'old' Fiesta and the C3 wins in nearly every way apart from handling. My personal car is a 4.6lt V8 Mustang, which I am a muppet for buying.

First of all i've never mentioned 980, but 960. Secondly, what is the pleasure of playing games in low details at 20-25FPS? This laptop is ok, the price is good, but it's not GAMING laptop, end of story
The mx150 is for thin and light laptops. When are manufacturers going to realise this and stop conning people into buying a “gaming” laptop.
gaming laptop? hahahaha!
