A good £40 less than what I paid. Great deal!
noob question, does it fit most of the cases? Trying to building one myself and just wondeing what to look at when choosing the tower cases. thanks
Is the VRM capable of handling an overclocked 3950X?

This is a full size ATX motherboard, so you need a case that will fit either ATX or E-ATX boards. You can usually filter by this specification alone

If the case says ATX, which almost all mid tower and larger cases are - Then it will fit. In my personal case, the only thing I struggled with was installing AIO liquid cooling and fans in smaller mid tower case. The VRM heat sink on the board is quite sizeable compared to your basic motherboards and might make installing some auxillary components slightly more troublesome.

You should be fine but send me a link to the case if you are still worried.

There is a Google spreadsheet which compares vrms of all x570 boards. This one is not great compared to the top of the line boards. However it really depends on how extreme your overclocking is and for most practical overclocks, you will probably be fine. That being said, 3950x is the most high end chip with some clever power trickery so YMMV.

I thought it might be pushing it. Looks like I'm going to have to extend the budget. Seems most of the Asus boards have pretty decent VRMs.

This board is infamous amongst the tech reviewers hence why they keep dropping the price.
Look at what Buildzoid says for suitable boards.

Thanks, yea I know about b550, I'm just not sure if it is worth the wait. I have an X570 build as it is and I don't utilise the PCIE 4.0 for anything. Plus the thing that gets on my nerves about X570 or at least my Taichi board is the horrible droning noise of the chipset fan. I don't want another board that is actively cooled so I will have to see if b550 is passively cooled at least at a decent price.
A truly awful motherboard.... in tests it was 45° hotter than the equivelent Aorus Elite.... and 38° hotter than the Asus Tuff gaming and BOTH are similar prices... DO NOT TOUCH THIS BOARD

Agree with this comment. However still depends on what your doing with your PC.

Just wondering on a side note we used to be able to sell things on here but cant see where this is on the app. Was looking to sell my x570 steel legend can anyone point me in the right direction.

Tbh...gumtree, Facebook or Ebay are still best... i just bought an X570 Asus Tuf...otherwise i would have been interested. The temps were from non force load btw...it really is a dangerous board if you want any kind of life from you Mboard.

Bought the x570 Asus Tuf wifi along with a 3950x. I'm managing to get all-core 4.3ghz at 1.35v stable overclock. Impressed! It can do 4.4ghz at 1.4v but I'm a bit nervous with that so steering clear...

Just under 10200 on cinebench r20 which is crazy to me. Came from an old six core 4930k so this is like 10x the score I have on that CPU. This thing just blasts through renders and Unreal Engine work I'm doing.

Kinda shocked how many people out there are CPU crazy these days though. I don't really know anyone that uses programs that need so many cores. They must be out there I guess. Anyway, I'm pretty happy with the TUF so far if anyone else is considering a cheaper x570 and a 3950x (or less).
