Seems like a great deal. Cooler looks to be worth about £60 on its own, factor in everything else, its a no brainer! HEAT
Of course I had to order a new motherboard yesterday!

I ordered the x570 gaming plus on the 7th of july for £179.99 which means i only get the steam voucher & NVME & toolkit
What's their expectations for a high quality review though. Are we expexted to do a Buildzoid style analysis of the board talking about how many phases the VRMs have etc? Just wonder what they consider high quality.

I was thinking that. Tempted myself. This would go nicely with a 3900X.

Definitely would. I ordered a 3700x yesterday and guess what, DPD have lost it in the depot. Now I'm stuck waiting for a refund 😔 thank God I haven't sold my 2600 yet.

No way. What a pain. Good luck getting a refund ASAP. Who knows it might be cheaper when you buy another

Yea, lucky I put it on the credit card so I'm in no rush for the refund. They have told me within 3-5 days anyway so not too bad. Still a flipping pain in the neck.

I wouldn't be too upset, what you got isn't a bad deal at all if you don't need / want the watercooler.

It'll be interesting to see how easy it is to claim for the SSD.

Still though... I like MSI’s BIOS and system but didn’t wanna go with another B450 so went with Asus

Buildzoid recommends gigabyte or asus for launch x570 boards, unless you're looking at flagship mobos. Not that MSI is bad, is just gigabyte and asus are much better in value.

Yea I've seen his vids. Apparently msi boards under £300 have some of the weakest VRMs. Personally I'm looking at the Asus x570 TUF Gaming. Seems to be about the best feature set and solid VRMs for the price.
pretty much don't trust any manufacturer that "buys" reviews.

How do you think these big reviewers get products? I know some buy their own, but a lot get given tons of stuff. Essentially "paying for reviews".
Looks decent to me, heat!

That woudl be every single manufacturer then? Sorry, but they all do to some degree, they all sponsor influencers.

Seems a good deal, particularly if you sell the extras on one of the inevitable upcoming £1 ebay fee days Thanks OP shall take a look.
Can't help thinking that one of the reasons for a deal like this is the s**t storm MSI are going through right now. They've got huge problems with compatibility with 3rd gen on anything below x570's

My friend has just gotten an ASrock x570 Taichi and it is fairly quiet, audible when he was running benchmarks, but when he closed his case up its noise fell below the general quiet hum of the computer.

Really? i read a few comment of noise complain on that board in specific. maybe there is some sort of lottery on noise

I’m not saying it’s silent, but for a high spec pc (3700x, gtx1080ti) the noise of the chipset isn’t any louder than the rest of the system in his fractal design R4 case. If you went for quieter components though it may end up being the loudest thing in there, but to my ear it was perfectly acceptable.

Have asked msi this and they seem to be dragging their feet in replying told me would qualify for cooler and steam credit from scan on Thursday but when I asked about what they considered a high quality review on Friday I haven't had a response... would be nice to get the name ssd but I'm not banking on it
So I am a wannabe PC gamer.

I have a Acer x34 monitor (which has G-sync) and want to play games at 4k (Call of Duty and GTA currently).
I currently have no top end to budget (I am in my late 30s).

My questions are
1. If I get the Cooler Master Masterliquid ML240L do I actually have to "fill it with water". I can't really be bothered with that much hassle.
2. Any recommendations for a graphics card for under £300.
3. Which CPU.
4. What size case?

I am not planning to upgrade again for around 3-4 years, so don't need bleeding edge components.

(I was thinking around £1000 without windows (cough)).

You don't fill it with liquid.

Cheap 2070, 2060 Super. Over your budget but you want 4k. Telling us which games you play will help.

3700X/3800X

Case size is down to the individual.
Thanks. Not sure about games, pretty much Call of Duty type games and its relatives.

RTX 2060 super (£365)
Ryzen 3600 (£190)
Motherboard and cooler (this £215)
Case (£100)
RAM (£100)

£970 total

Have my own SSDs

Anything else?

Power supply and any extra fans you might need, if the case doesn't provide them.

Anyone having trouble applying for this promotion on MSI's website? When I click "Apply", the confirmation popup window has the invoice number blank, and then when I try to proceed it tells me to enter my invoice number. But on the previous page, I *do* have my invoice number entered!
Nope, just had my application approved try using google chrome perhaps?
Tried in Firefox, Edge, and Chrome. It just doesn't work. I'm worried I'm going to miss out since it's only while supplies last.

I had this problem also. It’s because there is a letter in the invoice number. Take any letters out and it works.
whilst it obviously won’t look exactly the same, I’m banking on telling them the system was broken and forced me to enter it like that if they refuse it. I’m sure they won’t with all the other hoops you have to jump through
Edited by: "HarryAxeWound" 25th Jul
Thanks, you're completely right! It's the letter in it that breaks it.

I also have another problem now. How do I leave a review on the Scan website? I can't figure it out...

Edit: Nevermind. Needed third-party frames enabled on the page to properly load the reviews section.
