This one here, it's not going to be the best performing super but will easily beat the standard 1660 still and they have the OC one for a couple pound more.

Thanks, could you please advise on a better buy? Genuinly not know about these much and friend wants to buy it for his custom made PC so I made this deal mainly to see what people think and whether its a good price for what it is.
just buy the 1660 super, it's has near 1660ti performance for little extra
Depends on budget, games played and at what resolutions and frame rates.
You can get 1660 supers under £200 and that would be a great 1080p/60 card at close to ultra in most game
if the budget can stretch to £300 or so, then perhaps a 5700 which would get 1440p/60 at close to ultra in most games

Any chance having SUPER with two fans for this money?

Cheapest dual fan super is £214 at the moment from box

Here's a list that shows current prices for the supers in most places.
i need a graphic card for an external gpu razer core chroma

i want 1440p gaming and possibly 4k

is the 2070s the best option?

I'd rather have a standard two fan 1660 than a single fan 1660s any day tbh. Those pallit cards are horrendously bad hence the cheap price
Not good value with super around - will get decent one for 200 this week I’ll bet
Having used a good deal of the Palit GTX 1660 Ti single fan version, I can say that the negativity is unjustified, they aren't all that noisy, if at all audible, and don't get that hot. For the most part people will have other fans in their system that are noisier than when this cards it playing games pushing that 100% GPU load for hours on end.

It is madness to buy a slower card for the same cost as a faster one, when the cooling is more than adequate on the faster card. For anyone in doubt, you have 14-days to return a card purchased online if you don't like it, but unless you crank the fan upto 100% then you won't even notice it, and the same can be said for most cards in this class.
Got a 1080 which is better for the price

Who said that? I used to have a Palit single fan 1660Ti and it was rock solid and near silent. You can also find tons of reviews for Palit 1660Ti cards and how good their cooling system was.

A 1660 Super with a single fan will beat the 1660 upside down to the tune of about 20%, so its just plain foolish to buy a 1660 normal for the same price as a 1660 Super.

I dont even understand how this deal can be hot as its a really poor card compared to the 1660 Super which is out now and available for the same price point.

Why do you need a two fan cooler for this chipset. It hardly sips power and for the heat it generates, you are just fine with a single larger fan.
Also 2 smaller fans are more noisy than a single large fan.

Just read some reviews of Palit cards and the noise level in dB and you will be surprised to see they are pretty efficient.

A Super with a single fan is more than enough to beat the 1660 in this deal by more than 20%, so sorry but its plain stupid to buy this over a 1660 Super. No excuses.

As I said don't buy nvidia and Intel until they get their prices right, we've been buying overpriced products for years now. 400++£ for a mid range GPU relevant for no more than 8 months and then destroyed by their new shiny product - don't feed the industry taking from your pockets thinking for the business not for the user. Rtx was avaliable in the previous generation gues what, no drivers were written for it, why? Why the newer drivers make your old GPU slower when new generation is out? Why no proper drivers update for the old cards and generations? Because we allow them to! Stop buying them nvidia and Intel, worst companies to feed as they will just want more.

Bad and slow card way too overpriced!

I've had a Zotac Mini 1060 6b single fan card in my pc for a year and it's not noisy and performs just as good as a dual fan so maybe you just had bad luck with yours.

So what do you recommend? I was looking at a Nvidia RTX 2060 something equivalent to that.

Go with AMD 5700xt for that money, no rtx card is actually worth it, if you think about it, handful of games has it and if you actually enable it frames are dropped to that level that you can't play. Love them to bits and their marketing. I especially like when they don't get reviews they want from YouTubers and bam no more free samples for you naughty boy. Nice fellas I'm telling you!
The fact this has nearly 200 heat exemplifies why getting Joe Bloggs to rate deals is a really poor idea

No need, the Palit is amazing. Check it out here.

Edited this, the below is the 2 fan, there is no single fan super review, but the TI review above should be nearly identical in heat/noise).

13% base improvement, for the same price, and it OCs 7.2% further AND is quiet and cool.
