Is there really a benefit to a curved screen?
Freesync is such good value compared to gsync. Looks great for the price.

Unfortunately nvidia graphics cards are better than AMD cards, at almost every price point at the moment.
I plumped for the Crossover 27 Fast on eBay for £280. 1440p, 144hz and IPS. Also has freesync but I've got a 1080ti. Should be a perfect match.

Need to get rid of my old Yamakasi 2703 IPS 1440p 60hz monitor now.

I would say it's more of a preference than a benefit. I personally like curved screens but they aren't for everyone.

I got 22" curved monitor with my PC as well as 49" curved TV for the living room. While I really enjoy the monitor, I cannot say the same for the TV...

Clue is also in the name, I believe monitor manufacturers have to pay to use G-Sync, hence Freesync being cheaper to implement and thus = cheaper monitors. Still props to AMD for that! ;-)

As a freesync monitor owner it's a real pity I can't find a Vega 56 at a decent price.

They do seem to be coming down in price, I saw overclockers had some custom Vega 64 cards for just over £600 last night. That's not too bad really given I paid £460 for a reference and that's about cheap as they've ever been.

Still a touch more than you'd like, perhaps, but given they were £800+ fairly recently at least it's moving in the right direction.

How is the crossover? Any deficiencies? Found one on ebay for £265 so it would be good to get that over something way more expensive.
