Doesn't seem to have good feedback on Reddit

You sure it's this monitor? This monitor gets very high ratings in review's across the web, whoever said about the colour banding must have had a defective unit.

I wouldn't take Reddit as a reliable source tbh, some of the people on there don't know their right hand from their left hand.

Yep.

I've got the MAG271CQR and that has colour banding in certain situations. (Gradients/Low res images etc)

Must have a defective unit then, may want to get a replacement for that.

I don't own said monitor, I'm waiting for the more premium one to arrive next week. Just stating my opinion.

Can you provide links to such forum posts? As I haven't seen a single comment about this, other than you.
You've sent links for a bigger model monitor but, you probably think the panel is the same on both so, I see where you are coming from.

Both posts say that it's just the features on the monitor creating the colour banding, so turning them off or adjusting the gamma on the monitor will fix the problem.

Not really something you'd try and hold an argument over, just for something that can be user corrected.

Your original reply to me linked me to the MAG271CQR.

That's what the links i posted above.

Out of the box settings, banding is there. Gamma at 1.9
Gamma at 2,2, banding still there.

Running out of ideas to remove the banding!
Have you thought about it being the blue light reduction feature on the monitor? And their Anti flicker feature.

Like I said before, it's just features on the monitor, if you don't like what comes in the full package, then go somewhere else I suggest.

Possibly.

Deleted all colour profiles
Reinstalled Nvidia Drivers
Reinstalled the Monitor Driver which installs the colour profile

Banding is there, but, it doesn't look as bad as before. Maybe trying to tweak thins too much!
