Thanks, Great first post
Anyone know of any good ultrawide deals?
Would this be okay with a Ryzen 3700x / 2070 Super build for 1440p?
Got one of these last week. Really happy with it. The RGB backlight isn't the brightest though.

Yes. I’m running a 1070 with the LG that was posted recently. See 70+ FPS on COD Warzone
I'm struggling to find a reason to save my £280, it seems impossible... 😩 If someone has a better value for money monitor suggestion I'm all ears-eyes ...
Great price for 165Hz
1£ cheaper at oc.uk, just checked on price comparison.

this is an alternative if you want an ips panel

I'm running 3700x + GTX1070 and it's coping great with this monitor! I'm mainly playing Apex legend at the mo and I get around 120-130fps on average.

One thing I've found is that because the pixel pitch is higher you can turn AA right down so although you're pushing more pixels you can relieve the extra stress on the GPU.

Me and my mate did a straight comparison and I was getting about 15-20% fewer frames than him in Apex at the same setting (him at 1080p).
Anyone have any experience trying to get VRR GSync through Nvidia GPUs to work with this monitor. I know the MAG271WQHD has flickering issues... Very tempted at this price if it works well.

It’s OOS unfortunately but would you mind explaining the main difference between that monitor and this one? Other than speakers. Thanks
If i had enough space on my desk id love to couple something like this with my existing monitor

After monitor for gaming and photo/ video editing.( I have printing business so colour has to be ok)
Was looking for 27" around £300, what your recomendations?
I’ve pulled the trigger on this after your good reviews. Looking forward to updating the free monitors I got from wife’s work. They’ve provided a good service but it’s time for a proper gaming monitor. Thanks.

You're gonna struggle to find anything that really fits your criteria at that price point.

For 27" you would ideally want 1440p. 144hz is pretty much standard for gaming, so I imagine you'd want that as well but if colour accuracy is important then ips would be the way to go.
The best monitor that suits your needs is probably the LG 27GL850, but it'll set you back quite a bit more than £300.

If you only need basic colour accuracy, then you could probably calibrate this monitor to a decent standard. VA isn't generally as good as ips, but it's still decent. And tbh I don't know too much about this panel in particular. You might want to check a proper review on it.

Yes I was looking at the lg but the price has gone sky high over the last few weeks.

ACER Nitro VG270UPbmiipx Quad HD 27" LCD Gaming Monitor

Only monitor that fits your criteria, 144Hz with 1ms response time for gaming and IPS for colour accuracy. Usually around £270.

I run a 3700X/5700 XT, so very similar and yes, this is perfect for it, but also depends on your use case. I play esports titles like overwatch, csgo, etc so I need the 144hz, however some people play the game seriously and would rather get 1080p 240hz.
Had this for a month now, not a single complaint about it
This is the monitor everyone was waiting for in Feb iirc , 1440p , 165hz and all under £300 caused some debate but it seems it was true , now Scan and Overclockers list it as end of life??? that cant be right
Terrible smeary colours on the one we got today, going to try to find a 144/165hz IPS panel to replace it the stand is nice and it's quite pretty, but the smear on the colours is f**king terrible and you'd need to be blind for it to not bother you. If it's just "panel lottery", their QA people need shooting.

Windows will default the maximum framerate to 60hz so games won't output past that. Change it to 144Hz (165Hz loses you 10 bit) and after turning on GSync it'll work correctly.
