Assuming cashback ex VAT, I think the value should be around £11.81.

This looks like good spec for the money- will be able to play not games very nicely, but still looks like a professional laptop.

Intel core i5 4210h Haswell dual core 2.9 - 3.5GHz
GTX 960m 2gb DDR5, core: 1202 MHz, Memory: 1253 MHz
8gb RAM single-channel PC3-12800
1920*1080 full HD 15.6" matte IPS (Samsung PLS) colour calibrated screen
Aluminium top and screen back
Backlit SteelSeries keyboard
4 way speaker system (4.1)
M.2 slot (empty)
USB3, HDMI, mini DisplayPort
42Wh battery
DVD burner
Gigabit network port
WiFi a/b/g/n/ac 5Ghz
27mm x 383mm x 260mm, 2.318kg

As above, should be great for gaming (whilst not being an all out £2,500 SLI game beast), but looks like it would fit in an office environment without making you look like a 12 year old (ie it's not covered in flashy lights, dragon logos or pictures of buxom warrior princesses)

Screen looks really good for the money

Downsides are:

Trackpad isn't great (never found a laptop with a trackpad that's even vaguely usable anyway)

Non premium case (this seems to be argued in some reviews)

Battery life isn't great

Webcam sucks

No SSD fitted

Whilst it looks upgradeable, they apparently put a warranty void sticker over the case screws (and there are no panels for easy access)

There is an alternative i7 version but it looks less cost effective, and this i5 will cover almost any non specialist requirements.

Buy my alienware 14 for 620! It's amazing.
This is an MSi with a 960. For that price this is a good deal
Plus, an matte IPS screen. Where are people getting a better price for this setup?

some people here just vote cold because they can't afford it. or some of them think it must be crazy to spend such money for a laptop.
Seems a tempting deal and good find OP Heat added, but not scorching. The battery is a let down and i expect another few mega bargains closer to Xmas, i will hold my Son's Xmas money for now
this is a cracking spec for the money have some heat
I've the same model but with i7 cpu. The matte IPS screen is awesome.

its a very good deal & i'm sure it will get hot once the tech people notice it.
I was strongly considering buying this, but the lack of heat is giving me second thoughts about whether there are better alternatives.
Looks like this, or spending £50+ more for similar spec PC Specialist Optimus VI. I'm not sure which is the best bet.
