Looks like it should be the pricing on the 5700 to me and showing as delivery in 1-3 months but sold by amazon so maybe worth a punt for some people as amazon sometimes dispatch sooner if items come in to stock.
Also if delivery is 1-3 months it gives you chance to back out if the custom coolers are worlds ahead when released.

Watercooling a midrange card with a block that costs 1/3 of the card's price never seemed worth it to me

They have clearly got the price mixed around with the 5700.

Would be tempted if it wasn't for it having that blower cooler.

Yeah, same. I wonder how well my now dated Ryzen1600 and B350 board would take it.

Probably bottleneck but not that bad I would imagine. I'm upgrading to the 3600x so shouldn't be a issue for me.
Decent price. Glad AMD haven't bothered with ray tracing, card wouldn't be powerful enough to do it justice. Maybe in a couple of generations.

August according to MSI. Asus says ETA September.

Yeah that's what I'm thinking. I've overclocked the CPU and ram. Not sure how much more this cheap little Mobo will take

What about the rtx 2060? performs similar to the 5700 and is less power hungry so will probably be easier on the board

The 5700 is comparable with the 2060 super. Those cards both have similar power consumption.

A spokesman from AMD has said the 2nd week in August. We'll probably just see a few cheaper models popping up on shelves though at launch.

With a blower cooler the "heat" - 200W of it - is being blown straight out the case and not into it. It's quite normal to run a GPU at 70-80 so the trick is to set a fan curve to keep the noise down, its the noise level that could be higher on blower models.
Just returned my faulty Palit 2060 and have decided on a refund so I have my choice of cards I've gone ahead and ordered this for less than £20 more than my 2060 and this will murder it blower or not. These blower cards shouldn't be a issue like the Vega 56 and 64 because of better power efficientcy. I was gutted I missed the 2060 super strix yesterday. I will be running it on a MSI x370 pro carbon with a launch 1700x but I will be upgrading to a x3900 on a MSI Meg ace.
Is this the scratch and dent model?
Absolutely smokes the 2060, which is about this price. Seems like a good deal to me

Hmm I'm not sure, the launch price of the 5700 XT is £400, it'll stick around there as it undercuts it's competition (the 2070) and outperforms it at present, probably be a decent margin as drivers develop. Plenty of benchies show this beating the 2070 super, which is £480, so why would AMD drop the price on something priced so competitively already?
I think this is a misprice. Everywhere else has the non XT model at this price. If this is right it's amazing value compared to a 2070 or 2070 Super (which is very close to 2080 performance). So you're getting within 10% of 2080 performance with this card for nearly half the price!
PLEASE TYPE LOUDER AS I CAN'T HEAR YOU OVER THE NOISE OF THE FAN.

I imagine it is right since the xt card is only around £380 on other sites. So it's only around £40 off for the long wait time. Amazon seems to do this a lot with stuff when it's out of stock

Yeah. I currently have an RX580 so maybe the 2060 super would be a fairly good step up. It's weighing up the best option or leaving as is for a few more months.

I'm sure either one would work fine as long as you have a decent psu. Think 500w would be plenty.

I'm probably gonna wait it out for now see if these ship from amazon unless the rtx 2060 super drops to around to the same price.
Got to be in it to win it
To be honest, i think i will wait for a custom cooled version on ebuyer express on ebay and wait for a 20% code which seem to come up every few months.

Will be just as cheap, if not cheaper, and likely have a better cooler and run much quieter.

I was thinking the same as I have a 1700...but I want to hold out for the 4800X or 4900X as I'm happy with the 1700 at the moment. I did some research to see for myself...

The 5700XT is 8% slower than the 1080Ti (6% slower than Radeon 7 [Hardware Unboxed 5700XT review] and Radeon 7 is 2% slower than 1080Ti [Hardware Unboxed Radeon 7 review]). Therefore, I'd play it safe and overestimate with the 1080Ti. Handily, that's that GPU that everyone used to test the 1000 and 2000 series. It looks like there will be bottle necking at 1080P (but it's not killer, as it is still well over 60 FPS), but it'll be close at 1440P in older games [Gamers Nexus 2600 review]. However, the 1600 has aged really well and you'd have made the right choice when you got one a few years ago. Games are now using more cores instead of just clock speed [1600 vs i5-7600K]...so I think its looking ok as long as you're gaming at 1440P or more.

I've been waiting for a deal like this. I currently own two 290X's that I have in cross fire. I got them both for cheap about 4 years go after a mining crash. Crossfire is now a dying thing, but I wanted to hold out for something between a 1080 and 1080Ti at ~£350. I'm also wanted to boycott NVidia for my next buy, as I was disgusted with the whole GPP thing [GPP info]. Although, I'll buy NVidia for my next GPU after the 5700XT if they keep their nose clean and have better bang for buck.
