Mining is skewing the prices of the decent high-end cards and this RX 460 is basically 2 generations old with Vega pretty much on top of us.
I know sold my rx 480 now I'm stuck for a new card all the prices gone up not sure if to get a cheap card used or this .... any help?

If your not a hater of cex it does have (also not in stock atm) some pretty decent priced r9 280x it was even as low as £75 a few months ago but unfortunately they too have put the prices up but it does beat the rx 460 by quite some distance, I have seen them in stock you just have to check regular to get one. Plus it has 2 yr warranty and still cheaper than eBay prices

Reading your op back I assume you sold it to upgrade so probably not a great suggestion I don't know what their higher end card prices are like though

Seeing as the price jumps are quite big atm from a rx460 to a rx470/480 this is what I'm planning on doing to a cheap build for the kids, as the r9's seemed reasonably priced until the price hike. When I actually get round to buying the rest of the parts

The older r9 cards use over 3x the power of these cards. The 460 is basically a 470 cut in half
