Yes but you need update bios first.

Can I do this without another CPU?
Pairing a mobo with a mobo, that's a new one.
Good price...my only issue with this board is that, unlike other X470's, it only has 6 SATA ports. Using M.2 disables 2 of those ports, whereas other X470's have 8 SATA and you still get to keep 6 to use...Add in a couple of hard drives, an SSD programmes drive and you may wish for the extra capacity.

Call ebuyer up, they will do it for free

I can confirm this. At least I've been promised...Now waiting for the mobo.

Not necessarily. I have this board and the manual states that M2_1 is PCIE only, and if M2_2 is used in SATA mode you will lose use of SATA1 port only. However if M2_2 is used in PCIE mode then you lose use of the PCI_E6 port at the bottom of the board and keep SATA1 port.

Just get a cheap HBA/Raid card in that case.

You lose 5&6. I use my NVMe drive as my boot drive and both disappeared.

Seems redundant when you can get an 8 sata board and not need another component...

Port 6 working just fine with M2_1 slot occupied. If I was to install another 960 EVO (or other NVME drive) in slot M2_2 I would still have full use of all SATA ports. Only if I was to install an older SATA mode M2 drive into this slot would I lose the use of SATA1 only, not ports 5&6.
