Yup! Don't take my word for it, YouTube reviews with hardware Unboxed also states this, pony up more pennies for the premium X570 if you want quality.

This is the worst x570 board in terms of VRM and temps.
If you really NEED a x570 motherboard, get the Asus Prime x570-P. Nothing cheaper than that.
Very good x570 boards start at £220 anyway.

MSI outdone themselves on the B450 range, unfortunately not so much in the X570 range. Overall the Tomahawk or Pro Carbon v1.1 is the best you can get.

I own the Pro Carbon with a 3700x and cool as an Arctic blast!

Look for buildzoid on YouTube, he's pretty good at reviewing motherboard's and works closely with select vendors.

Better a top-notch B450 than a bottom of the pile X570.

Yes; a large screen TV and half speed YouTube! Think he was on a Redbull high when he did that one.

Of course everyone is entitled to spend the money on what they want, but 570s are way overkill for most of us. Yes, it has all the bells and whistles, but most of us won't ever use half of them. Tests have shown there is no noticeable difference fps wise (2 to be exact) between a 350, 450 and 470 board (with the 470 using a lot more power). Surely the outcome will be similar with a 570. Not 350s, but 450 and 470 have been proven to run on 3900 R9 Ryzens. If you know which models to look for and can get them for a decent price, especially second hand, these boards are incredible bang for the buck.

Whats interesting though is he says this board is as he puts it "actually sensible" for 3600/3700x, & also wonders if reducing switching frequency would sort out the VRM thermals. So makes you wonder whether MSI could address it in a BIOS update at a later date potentially to improve it.
