thanks for the photos, looks a nice bit of kit

Great if you can get upto 8 hours on this screen

Better of with an acer timeline from save on laptops better spec all round, this is a single core cpu and is not really cheap.

Processor is crap
So wheres the gain ?
Expensive for what it is

It's a dual core acutaly.

yeah just to confirm, this is a 1.3ghz DUAL CORE. Not the single version

Bit of an unusual configuration this one but nevertheless, a lot of computer for the money. Got an SU4100 cpu in my Samsung X120 - it plays 720p HD with ease, comfortably handles windows 7 (incl. aero transitions enabled etc), multi tasks well and generally feels quite nippy doing general day to day computing. I expect it to struggle doing more intensive processing tasks but I’ve never tried. Mind you, the MSI has a better graphics spec than my Samsung, which will help.

MSI is a reputable manufacturer so build quality should be fine. If you are in the market for a well specified 15.6” screen ultra-thin laptop but without a built in dvd drive, then this may be the puppy for you. The screen size is good for maximum screen real estate but it may limit portability due to the physical size. The weight is 2.2kg as opposed to the 2.4 – 3 kg that is usual with more conventional 15.6” laptops. At this price point, it comes down to a choice. A stylish, ultra-thin and more portable machine versus a heavier, more solid, conventional laptop that comes with probably more basic processing power and a built in dvd drive.
