For one day only get a quote by visiting msn.co.uk and then clicking on the aviva link, you'l get 20% discount, plus 12 months for 10, but its for one day only.

Look i know aviva are normaly expensive but it is worth getting a price, there might be summat in this deal! worth 3-4 minutes of your life, quotes are held for 60 days to.

If it turns out to be pants then so be it but no one else has picked up on this so i though i'd give a heads up to everyone.

you can see deatils now on msn.co.uk ill post a direct link to you can see what it will involve.

hope this helps at least one person.

this may just end up being an extra 5% off as on they're website you can get 15% discount already but even that would be ok i guess, or it could be more, the only way to tell is to have a go.

BUT if your premium is over £350 then a genuine 20% would be the same £70 and presumably given instantly/assuredly rather than hopefully/manana with referral sites.

(That said I remain suspicious that quoted premiums on some sites might vary depending on how you get to them rather than on the risk revealed by your particulars.)

Is it possible to get a saved quote, then go back via quidco to get the best of both worlds?

If the quote is valid for 60 days, I'd imagine you can just retrieve the quote after logging in through quidco?

Doubt it very much - most referral sites are explicit that you need to clear those cookies AND start a fresh quote AFTER being referred via them so THEY get the credit for giving rise to that quote. Still it's all a game you can but try and win with today's improved consumer information and websites like this/MSE/comparisons.

I'll give them a go, but only if they change their name back to Norwich Union.

Absolutely - why waste years of customer loyalty and branding by changing their name to something that sounds more like a bus company.

Great company, as long as you speak Indian.

Oh yes had forgotten about all their customers' money they have splashed out (ie wasted) on that rebranding exercise with those totally naff TV adverts - no wonder they were so expensive for both car & home cover when I checked them last month! :x

those ads really iritate me!

Dont deal with these people might do this deal or that deal but when it comes to claim time they Are a nightmare, True example I had holiday insurance and my mum died they refused to pay I had to take them to the ombudsman I won . DONT USE THIS COMPANY
