About Bike Cleaner

Keeping your bike clean can be an issue in the wet winter months, so at Wiggle we keep a large range of products specifically designed to make the job as easy as possible. We stock a large range of bike specific cleaning brushes that are designed for getting into the small spaces and even into the cassette, we also carry a range of chain cleaners meaning you do not need to remove the chain to clean it. You will also find a range of citrus degreasers and bike specific cleaning fluids which will help remove dirt without the need to strip the bike down. And once it's all clean we also do a range of lubricants to make sure it keeps moving on your next ride.
About the Muc-Off brand

"Bike cleaning made easy" is the Muc-Off motto! Every product in their range is developed to be the most advanced of its type and to be as fast and effective to use as possible - cleaning is no longer a complex job! Since 1994 the Muc-Off brand has grown from just one cleaner into the UK's number one bicycle maintenance range. This rapid growth has been fuelled by a massive consumer demand which seems to grow with every clean bike

Cheers - Just ordered - be ideal for my mountain bike and my alloy wheels on my car!
Got this set for hubby for Xmas at this price, so they must have a few to clear lol.
When you look at the price of the cleaning sets, these are a bargain!
thanks just in time for me to get the bike out
Nice one just in time for the new bike
Cheers for the heads up. I needed an excuse to get my bikes in order and cleaned up

as above, use it to scrape the gunk out of the rear casette, usually full of mud and twigs.
Wiggle have 3% cash back on quidco too.

That's for cleaning out your butt crack after a muddy mountain bike ride
Thanks. [though for car use with me]

I would think these brushes should rival Vikan for quality

great brand name!
Thanks OP, just what I needed as the winter salt is starting to take its toll. Was looking at this mandp.co.uk/pro…763 but with £3 delivery on that, I think this Muc off set looks much better
can anyone tell me how best to clean these brushes once they have been used and all covered in oil and gunk? thanks
Thanks. Just what I needed to clean my bike!

Engine de-greaser is usually the best stuff but WD40 will also do the trick if they're not too gunked up

Thanks ordered.
also good for cars - engine bays, wheels etc

have some heat, ordered thanks!
Tesco daisy all all purpose cleaner is good. It is a degreaser as well.
Great kit....well made brushes, rubber grip handels ...excellent for getting the winter grime of the chain, frame, mech etc..
cant recomend this set highly enough...comes with a "bag" which is really just a resealable plastic bag wich is useless...but the rushes themselves are great.
Halfords sell 1 of thier own make brushes for 6.99 so this is a huge bargain...
Snow?...get out-get cyclying !
Bought, thanks. Going to use on the Giant bike I got over Christmas from a hotukdeals tip too!
Ordered, great deal!
Watch out for the Y shaped brush. They have rubber/plastic caps on the end which if knocked off expose the nasty metal core. I scratched the frame on one of my past bikes while cleaning it... luckily not too much as I noticed it right away. I binned the brush after that and just use the others.
I use similar brushes when cleaning my car. Only complaint for me is the wheel brush (two tone one inside the other) as that tended to fall apart quite fast. Mine weren't Muc Off branded, but had 3 from different brands, all same design that fell apart. But cleaning a bike is probably less damaging for the brush.

The post above about plastic tips on the brushes should be kept in mind - quite a few brushes use this on the tips, but once they fall off they do expose the wire core that will easily scratch paintwork.
Can anyone recommend a decent cleaner to use with these brushes?

A brand called 'Gunk' has been recommenced along with GT25, but I wondered if anyone has any personal recommendations?
I'd recommend erm....Muc off cleaner! The pink spray was also on sale at Wiggle recently. Be careful leaving it to soak for too long on paint or stickers but otherwise it's great on muck, oil, grease & brake dust.

Thanks, I'll be using it on my mountain bike so hopefully it will suffice.
Munky, I use Fenwics FS1 which works great. It comes as a litre of full on degreaser which you can then water down 1 in 10 to make a cleaning spray like Muc Off.

If you really want to do away with gunk in your drivetrain have a look at a Scottoiler system, I've just put one on my new bike and it works great.

Will be fine. I use megs apc which is essentially the same stuff and works a treat.

Fenwicks degreaser is the best. You can dillute it 10:1 to get a muc off type solution.

I really wouldnt, I had a scottoiler on mine and it was awful, created more mess than before. Dry lube is good stuff

Shhh. That stuff is the car detailers secret! Better than products that cost 5 times the amount.
