There is are alternatives, which are cheaper by volume, not sure if there is any downside. I use the Orange hand cleaner on my bikes...which works well.... Fill up the 'Chain Pig' and off you go....

- On offer at the mom for £6.00 Swafega 5Ltr patio cleaner (i haven't tried cleaning a chain with this, but supposidly it works well)

The best bike cleaner is fenwicks fs10. It's a 1 Ltr that makes 10 Ltrs and it can be used neat for de - greasing . It's around 9.99 and it's my far the best product on the market and has been for years.

Thanks for that tip....I ride all through the winter and am always looking, for "easy" ways of cleaning the cassette, front + rear mech plus chain... It's a real drag... I don't know fenwicks... so I'll give it a go...... thanks....
