Muc Off Wheel Cleaner / Shampoo / Speed Wax £2.00 Homebase instore

Found 30th Sep 2012
I've just come out of Homebase, Staines and found price cut on the shelves

muc-off.com/en/…car

Muc-Off Step 1 Wheel Cleaner 500ml £2.00 was £6 (Screwfix have listed for £2.99)
Muc-Off Shampoo Step 2 500ml £2.00 was £7.96
Muc-Off Speed Step 3 Wax 500ml £2.00 (no idea what this was, just grabbed the bottle by this point)

RRP from Muc-Off for all three is £20 - this is £6. Receipt rang up as "SALE" so assumed Nationwide.

First deal I've ever found, please take pity...

edit - I have no idea when this expires, probably when out of current stock!

B&Q patio cleaner works wonders on alloys too! A tip given to me by someone in the trade. Paint it on with a brush and then just rinse off for sparkling bright wheels.

Thanks! needed one aswell

Be careful with some wheel cleaners as they are acid based, and will destroy your nice shiny wheels in no time. Wonder wheels is one of the worst culprits.
I would certainly be VERY wary on using patio cleaner.

Please don't do this if you value your wheels, patio cleaner is for patios not you alloys!!!! Very bad advice.

Buy a proper automotive wheel cleaner if you really can't be arsed using a bit of elbow grease from a recognised manufacture like AutoGlym of Meguires.

Hadn't heard of Purple Rain, but seems to be similar to Iron Cut - superb stuff BTW....

Not something you would use everytime you washed your wheels IMHO. For that I use Valet Pro's Bilberry cleaner diluted 4:1

Another vote for Bilberry here too, fantastic stuff, and lasts for ages

After cleaning, I've found Wheel Seal and Shine works best for me - it can be layered as well. Obviously formulated specifically for wheel use, unlike most other sealants. Very easy on/off.

I know Optiseal is good stuff too, but have yet to open my bottle I got last year just too many products!

Nationwide deal as available Glasgow and Kilmarnock.

I find paint stripper works really well. auto glym and meguires are not a patch on this stuff.
