Have gravity fed system in my house. Changed tap to one of these and flow …Have gravity fed system in my house. Changed tap to one of these and flow has become shite. The flexi pipe are tiny with this tap, thats probably why.

You shouldn't be using gravity fed cold water to the sink anyway... Means you are probably cooking with water that has sat in a header tank

The cold is off the mains. The hot is off the cylinder. Cold pressure is ok. But hot is like i said, shite. I dont cook using hot water from tap
Heat added. Had this tap fitted for a few years, never gave me any bother at all.

Heat, got one of these. Good little tap, has two settings one is more powerful to spray dirty dishes!

I bought 3 of these the last time they were available, for family members. Awful quality. All three failed after a couple of months of use. The fittings from the water mains to the tap body were OK, it was the flexible pipe from the tap body to the water outlet that failed. The rubber pipe inside the metal housing split, so it leaked when you turned the tap on.

Gravity fed system sounds like 19 century. Put a pump in your system and problem solved

mine's fine after a year, not great flow on hot (gravity system in bungalow), but not a problem for me.
For those speaking about gravity fed. The reason you have poor flow on the hot is that a lot of these taps need a minimum of 2 bar pressure to work properly. The hot feed will probably have a non return valve too which restricts flow.
I have purchased three of these (one for my sister) and have to say the quality is not as good as they used to be. My first one have had for three years. Annoyingly I paid the higher price. Still give some heat
This is a great tap, especially for this price. Fitted it a few months back and happy with the quality and performance.
I bought one of these last time they where on offer. We took it back due to overall quality, maybe just being a snob but the inner tube looked very plastic and low quality. I'm sure it would work fine, but I prefer a higher quality finish

It does clearly state in the description of the tap on the aldi website that these are only for high pressure systems. A gravity fed system is a low pressure system, without sounding obvious, you need a tap that's for a low pressure system.
these taps can cost hundreds!
Agreed, you get what you pay for.

same. build quality of the tap is pretty good. was easy to fit but it does say that it's not for "low pressure systems"
I guess I've got a low pressure system as the hot water flow rate is pish. In fact, my pish is a higher pressure and probably just as warm.

Paid £40 a couple of months back from Aldi, still the best deal ever and absolutely love this tap! Best purchase from Aldi’s ever
