Anyone knows if its any good? If so, its a cracking deal...

these are great for water temperature, not sure about forehead, I think skin temp can vary a lot depending on whether you have skin covered or been lying on it etc, think about how cold your face gets outside in winter
Ear thermometers are usually infra red and usually a lot more expensive. But some work a lot better than others

This can also be used as an in-ear thermometer and has infrared.

does it use disposable covers for the sensor and how myuch are they if you happen to know. Thanks

It doesn't use disposable covers, the sensor and cover are waterproof and the booklet says it can be cleaned with diluting alcohol

These type of thermometers are one of the best presents you can buy for new parents. It is something people don't consider, and they are usually expensive.

Do they get quite hot?

Just bought this today for £6.99 in our local Aldi in the clearance section, down from £12.99 it said.

Works really well as an in-ear thermometer and was just what we'd been after for our kids

no - they detect infra red, they don't emit it.
