Stainless steel chopper with spring-loaded blade. Ideal for herbs, vegetables etc. With practical cover to protect bladeSize approx. (cm): 8.5 x 22.5

I think this is a good price for a stainless steel chopper and saves me from cutting my fingers with the knives.

You will get the same chopped result! but this one is a bit better in quality.

It had better be good quality - you have to apply a lot of force to them and if they're not well made they won't last long.

Thanks

Is there an online equivalent that is good quality that you guys recommend?

Got one of these from Pampered Chef. Awful!

Barely used as it's such a pain to clean and half of it ends up still on the blades at the end. It cut me a couple of times when taking apart and attempting to get stubborn bits of food out that the dishwasher couldn't get.

Fun to try, but certainly not a replacement for a good knife

great for those who can't be trusted with a sharp knife

Great for those who want to save lots of time over using a sharp knife.

On the one I had you could remove the plate round the blade and it could be washed under a running tap in 10 seconds. Before it broke.

Slapchop!

But you have to have Kenwood AT340 Slicer/Shredder Attachment for Kenwood Chef to be able to use it, right?

Jamaican Slap Chop - youtube.com/wat…U6Y

Good grief, I didn't know you could still buy them. My mom had something very much like that when I was a kid, I think she tried it once or twice, got very annoyed and then it ended up in the draw of useless kitchen stuff.

I bought something similar a while and also ended down the car boot, too much pressure needed to cut raw veg and cleaning took far too long. I just practised with my knives instead

If it's anything like the slapchop then it's a complete waste of money ...

I bought one a while back and after a couple of unsuccessdul attempts at cutting vegetables it went straight in the bin!

great
