If it's boring, why bother posting in response? Looking through your recent posts, they're all either 'boring' or just unrelated stupid comments that don't add towards the deal at all.

It is an original post since no-one has posted it before. You haven't posted a single deal yourself, but continually slate other peoples. If you don't like it, try finding a deal you wouldn't class as boring and post it here instead of being a dick about things :whistling:

is the link working? argos is just coming up blank - actually i think the problem is with argos. anyone else having trouble?

Fine for me...

cheers

Anybody know where I can get cheap, made to measure media/book shelves? We have a large media shelf we got off ebay, although its now full (about 450 dvds). I would imagine this shelf will hold about 100-120 dvds.

Nobody stocks made to measure shelves.

This looks really nice, and something I need desperately - have managed to reserve one and picking up at lunch:thumbsup:

Couple of questions - what's a wall strap (and why is this different to a wall fixing)?

Also, is it solid beech, rather than the usual veneer stuff? - I assume from the original price and from the positive comments the answer is yes?

I didnt ask for anywhere that stocked them smart ****, I asked where I could get one. Fool.

Thanks OP. Reserved mine.

does anyone have one of these?

i would like to know if it would be suitable for putting all aspects of multimedia in, e.g. xbox, sky box, pc etc. also, would it be easy to make an outlet for cables in the side?
just trying to make my bedroom look as neat and tidy as possible and this would be a great opportunity.

thanks.

It'll be a short plastic strap for connecting to the wall to stop the unit toppling over when children try to climb up the front etc.

I've thrown these away and used a couple of brass glass plates from a DIY shop to secure my cabinets to the wall - looks much nicer and is far more secure.

I have one of these..

I dont think this is suitable to keep any consoles as its not deep enough, its slightly more deeper then the width of a dvd case. So unless you plan to keep the xbox side ways, it will not fit...

Making holes on the back wont be a problem

Thanks OP managed to reserve the last one, just what I was looking for and for all the moaners how sad have you got to be to waste you life trolling on here.

Are the glass doors just standard glass or are they safety glass - considering purchasing but need to make sure it's toddler safe!

thanks for the reply, guess i wont be getting one then, still a hot deal!

Picked mine up yesterday and assembled last night. Some initial thoughts/ comments:

•Following my earlier unanswered query, I can confirm it’s not solid beech but mdf with veneer (as is usually the case for these flat pack stuff). Although I was initially a bit disappointed about this, the blocks for the base and top are especially thick and they all fit together to give a very solid feel;

•The back panel is a bit of a pain to fit in, and it’s only a very flimsy piece of veneered chipboard type stuff.;

•Also, the individual shelves aren’t fixed in – they come with a set of studs which push into holes in the side, and each shelve has 4 grooves which site on the studs to keep them in place. This means it’s very flexible, but less solid;

•Once assembled, the unit does look very impressive, and I particularly like the nice closing action on the doors.

All in all, pretty chuffed:thumbsup: and great to smartly store CDs and dvds. Would consider getting another unit to sit side by side, but the black doors kind of swallow the light so I don’t know it two would be too much (plus I don't know if the other half would approve further expenditure:oops:).

Sorry, can’t help about the safety glass – didn’t read anything about it in the instructions, but we’ve got a toddler running around and they seemed solid enough to repel him (plus he wouldn’t be able to open the doors as the magnet is at the top and there’s nothing to grip onto)
