Wow. I'd completely missed the news that they'd gone into receivership. Several stores bought by DFS. The retail race to the bottom continues.
You may think you can see its quality - after a year or so you might think otherwise. And on my experience Multiyork will do as little as possible to help you! Steer well clear.
Need to take a 2nd mortgage out to afford these prices even when they are on sale. Wish I could afford it because the furniture is lovely and you can see its quality.
it was in answer to someone saying this was a funny thread-something for a quid. It has happened in the past. Not this time tho lol
I understand that Multi York have never sold beds...
Someone **** up! MM
people got beds for £1 one time so dont mock!
Will be even funnier when people ring up local store with quote and wanting to buy at the quoted price
just received an email from them apologising for the mis price and also offered me a 10% discount.. 1200 for a chair?? i think not.
Having read the article below, don't think there's much hope! http://www.lovemoney.com/news/scams-and-rip-offs/consumer-rights/14314/your-rights-when-stores-misprice-items
I was told it was human error and had they checked(assumed legally) and were not obliged to honour the quote. Please keep me posted. I have my original quote in an email and have not deleted it just in case Multiyork change their mind, wishful thinking.
Ordered 3 last night. As you say, not honouring but offered me an additional 10% off... Checked there T&Cs on the website and there's nothing relating to mis-pricing just: "Your order will be accepted as soon as we have confirmed receipt of it, which is conditional on the availability of the product. If for any reason the product you order is unavailable we reserve the right to cancel your order." So are they within their rights?
Price is not being honoured, no surprise there! I was told to expect an email. Shame, I could do with new armchairs.
