Muscle Food 5kg Chicken breasts for £15! minimum order £25, + £3.95 delivery

Hopefully you all know the score... only 38 packs of chicken left at the time of posting.

1 per order/ customer/ code use
5kg of chicken for £15, then you need to add another £10's worth of food to basket to order, then pay another £3.95 for cheapest delivery

in the supermarket, 1kg of chicken normally costs circa £6- non frozen fresh breast. so for just shy of £30, ive got 5kg of chicken plus another tenners worth of food. i chose 7 x packs of turkey burgers, and they are really nice. just cooked some today and i was surprised, very succulent and a nice taste.

Not going to be liked by everyone, but its a good freebie for money that is going to be spent on chicken anyway.

Very lean meat, large breasts, awesome.

You might want to note that the chicken is meat from countries with much lower quality welfare than the UK and should be avoided in my opinion.

What's the code to get the 5kg for £15?

So if you order 2x packs, it would be 2 X15 + 3.95 delivery - ie £17 for 5kg chicken?. Not bad, but my local butcher does 5kg chicken breast packs for £20, so for the extra £3, I know where it comes from and don't have to faff about with delivery. I bet lots of local butchers do similar prices, supermarkets are just a rip off for things like this.

yeah, that's cool. Just meant you don't need to add All good, I think it's a good offer for BBQ's and what not! They have those 900g Tomahawk Steaks! Would need a wheelbarrow to get it to the BBQ

Cheaper here? https://www.livelean.co.uk/promotions/mega-chicken-deal

Any feedback on these people? And on the chicken specifically... water content? Their FAQs says the majority of their chicken comes form Denmark which has to be higher welfare than from musclefood.

Edit: trust pilot reviews look a bit dodgy

not that i disagree with buying local... if you can get the same or better deal..

but i cant say i agree with the first three parts of the statement... i wonder why so many people dislike muscle foods... i genuinely dont get it... i only get the chicken and turkey burgers though.. maybe you've had some bad experiences with other products?

you need to take into account minimum order value - you cant just order 1 x 5kg chicken

if you order 2 x 5kg chicken then the delivered prices are :

musclefood = £39.95
livelean = £41.85

assuming its fresh chicken with no added water & salt then thats looks like a pretty dam good price

its worth noting that the offer is only for the first 5kg the 2nd one you pay at normal price but its still a good deal for fresh chicken

the price is close to the cheapest value frozen breasts you can in the supermarkets & apparently they have loads of added water & salt eg see http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2519822/Secrets-supermarket-frozen-chickens-pumped-water-additives-cement-mixer-style-machines.html

cheapest frozen chicken (lots of added water & other additives of course) I have seen is from iceland at £3.33 per kg i.e.

unless I'm.missing something, i agree with you entirely. the frozen stuffs is pumped full of water so you only end up getting about 600g after defrosting or so. this is really good quality stuff meat and the breasts are huge. it does disappoint when people follow the heard or vote based on misconception, but hey it's a democracy right... unless it's 5% off a game with a Facebook like or free superdrug delivery.

I bet it was the HUKD tool that destroyed your link - it does that quite a lot. I do appreciate you posting, I bought 5kg + a 1kg steak - bought their chicken before, love it, thank you!
