oO it's an extra £4.01 compared to CD only version.

Or just pay for a Spotify subscription.

Or just download it illegally, jeez.

“7Digital MP3 download goes HOT shocker!”

Hot! Can't wait to see these on Saturday.

Muse are amazing. I'm getting this.

They've been downhill since Black Holes IMO. This starts well but fizzles out towards the end

Yup, that will encourage bands to make more music.

On balance, my favourite band of all time. Didn't like the 2nd Law though - hope this one doesn't suck!

Used to love Muse, saw em at Wembley... That was awesome.

Think their newer stuff is utter turd. Like they've run out of ideas.

hmmm, Muse... Drones... why yes I've always thought so. Seems an unfortunate name for an album.

Seriously though they're fine, but after seeing them live multiple times for various reasons i still never have any interest in listening to their albums. Haven't listened to this yet though so im not going to vote either way.

Back to their best with this album

Awesome album

awesome

Listened to this a couple of times today on Spotify. I think its a grower. Head added.

seriously if you've seen them live and not get it don't bother to download new album. looks like not your cup of tea. they are voted best live performers last years.

You've seen them live more than once and don't like them? What *do* you like?

Can't quite see the reason to be downloading an mp3 version of an album anymore, especially with Spotify etc. With Amazon you get it free anyway with the CD.

Just wait for it to be 99p on google store. Wasn't blown away by the album. Listened to it on deezer. Ill wait

Used to love them too and had no intention of getting this until I heard it. Give them another chance - think you might be suprised.

Their best since Absolution in my opinion. Oh, and PLAY IT LOUD \m/ [°°] \m/

im buying it just to support them. I like their earlier music more but maybe i just need to listen to these new tracks a few more times to ease in. I'd rather they just made great music than try so hard to make political statements

Bands don't make much money at all from the streaming services.

Have learnt some of this and played on the guitar. Didn't bother with Reapers as I am no Eddie Van Halen. Matt Bellamy sure is!
I dont really get why people comment on a perticular artist/band if they really aren't into that type of music. I can't stand R&B type music but I never comment as to whether it is any good or not. oO

Good album IMO, certainly better than their last two efforts. The Handler sounds like it could have been on OoS

He's using the tapping style invented a long long time before Van Halen, if you check the pattern he's using in the song it's simple enough to learn, it's just the same thing moved around the neck. Effectively it's single finger tapping, where as Stanley Jordan, and many other players using between 4 and 8 finger tapping.

Even unknown players were doing sophisticated tapping long before Van Halen >

Even earlier tapping from around the 1930s on a Ukelele >

Van Halen popularised tapping but he's nowhere near the best or most sophisticated at it, I guess it's one of those things that the fella that gets credited with the invention doesn't really deserve the credit.

Emmett Chapman invented the Chapman Stick in the late 60s / early 70s. That is an instrument where very sophisticated tapping is employed, and was in use before Van Halen came along in the late 70s >

I like the style of tapping, I could go on, there's so many brilliant acoustic players using the technique. Candyrat.com just go there and you'll see so many excellent players that never get any popularist credit for the talent they have.

I didn't think EVH had invented the style but does seem to get credited as you say. I find the whole tapping and shredding a bit difficult to execute properly mainly due to having smallish hands. Prefer the bends and licks....ooh err!

The most important thing is that whatever you play should sound good and not just be an impressive technique. Hendrix had a sloppy technique even in comparison to people playing at the same time as him, but his invention was way beyond anyone else that has played the guitar and of course he came up with some stunning sounding music. There is no one best guitar player ever as no guitarist has become accomplished to the highest standard in every genre, I like what sounds good irrespective of the techniques.
