Exactly. Put useful comments like "I don't like to download crap" and ask questions you can find out for yourself with a 60 second investment of your time.

Oh, wait...
I installed and tried out this app after this same freebie deal was posted last month but as an already contented Poweramp Pro app user, I found Music Player Pro was just a big disappointment and I quickly uninstalled it again. The main issue for me was that Music Player Pro doesn't have gapless play, it doesn't have the facility to manually download missing or incorrect album art to selected tracks and it only has a bog-standard equalizer with a few presets, nothing like the fully adjustable EQ frequency settings you can set and save as personal favourites with Poweramp Pro. I guess I have been spoiled by Poweramp Pro but in comparison, Music Player Pro just doesn't cut the mustard.

Install the app and see if it works then. Practice what you preach
Nothing special about Power Amp and if you want album art, find it on the internet.

Thanks, saved me time trying it. Gapless play essential.

Yes, you can but with Poweramp Pro, when the phone is connected to the internet, it only takes one long tap and one short tap of the screen from any selected track to retrieve and save the track's associated album cover art to the app. You can also edit the track's ID3 TAG file data. And if, as you say, Poweramp Pro is nothing special, maybe you can suggest another good music player that has gapless track play and a really versatile music equalizer because Music Player Pro doesn't have either. In fact, comparing it to Poweramp Pro makes Poweramp Pro seem even more special to me.

Life is too short not to have gapless play
I use free sony music player( which work on every android) which can play audio files from google drive .
100,000 downloads is nothing these days. The more popular music player apps are downloaded by the millions. Seems like a paid advertisement here.

BlackPlayer Ex for me. Poweramp is great but it's far too bloated for what I need. I've noticed that very few android music players, apart from rocket player, actually properly use ID3 tags when scanning the library.
Tried it, not for me. Nothing comes close to Pulsar in my opinion.

Used to use Poweramp but it's not been updated for over two years so it's pretty much dead.

Agreed, I've been using Power Amp Pro for a few years now, it's a great app, the only downside I found was that it doesn't stream to Google Chrome Cast, saying that loads of music apps don't.
Free looks a good deal - but is it any good even at free is another question. I have it (and continue to use it) and it's ok - I only use it because I got fed up looking for the Holy Grail player.

That's because the developer is working on v3, albeit very slowly...
I'm another Poweramp fan. They've been around since before time and know their stuff when it comes to digital music.

Look at the "linked groups". Op has selected lots of irrelevant groups to maximise the audience on this though keywords. Kinda like on eBay where vendors put a bunch of random words in the description to increase hits to listings. It's not nice. Op should be forced to eat sprouts, at the very least.
Does everything your basic stock media player does. Yippy excitement. Lets vote hot

Does anyone know if there's a music player app that embeds the 5 star rating into the music file? I need this function for when I want to use my tunes on decks.
Some much permissions needed?
Great deal for anyone who doesn't have Power Amp!
Nothing like as advertised can't find missing art as was suggested
Thanks op
Poweramp tried many players but Poweramp Pro for me.
Thanks

Google Chromecast support would be good but I just use the standard Android cast option on my phone's pull down options menu whenever I want to stream what I'm playing in Poweramp Pro to my Google Chromecast. It works fine.
i finf pi music player to be very good. I use it on my galaxy s7 and notepro. they're always updating it too

Does this allow you to stream from your PC (via a network share)? I've yet to find a proper music app which can do this, so am sticking with ES File Explorer until I find one, so wondered if this allows it?
