Nice find edi

Not any independent reviews, but gets good enough reviews from tech sites...

Just to point out this is a refurbished product!

Thanks teddy, but edi said that in his first post.

Welcome to the forums!

Welcome to HotUKDeals TEDDYRUCKSPIN Thanks for the extra info!

I missed that in edi's post too  Still a nice deal

Home Cinema Choice reviewed it, and thought it OK as a video replacement, but without RGB out or editing facilities slightly flawed:

Good spot at the price though!

Yup, I remember about a year or two ago there was some news about this and then it hit the TV news some time later, and finally it's happened.

This is a great deal, the one thing that will be around for ages is VHS Tapes unfortunately, with a HDD recorder you can't pass it on to a friend to watch if you've recorded something for them. Even if you put it on a DVD-R/W there's no guarantee that grandmother will have a DVD player (or the dexterity to use it).
I still prefer VHS tape because you can just pop it in and start recording and not worry about formats if you want to lend it to someone.
Still tempted by a HDD TwinView box like the Thomson though.

Price now is £89.86 or less delivered

Edi..

Are you sure this plays DIVX? I've looked on assorted websites, including the PDF pamphlet from Mustek's site, and it doesn't mention DIVX anywhere?

Cheers,
Gerard

Seems to be £101.61 delivered now...

Thanks for pointing this sirclive & welcome to HUKD

I copied the specs from Microdirect site & DivX was mentioned there. I can now note that DIVX is removed from Specs. Sorry, but I have to go with what the retailer says and feedback from members like you makes real difference.

Thanks again & the error is corrected now.
