I have not had any vouchers from this for years.

Yep, massive reduction now compared to what they used to do

I blame the Partners, wasn't like that when John Lewis was just doing it on his own.
Used to get these; but last time it was a voucher for a free cake when buying a drink, Mon-Fri only. Don't know if this was just a one off reduction, just me, or whether they are reducing the benefits across the board.

Yes my latest one was buy a coffee and get a free pastry. My sisters was the same. When she went to redeem hers she was told it was only
a croissant she could have and it was very small. She did not bother and went elsewhere.

Well done on your first post Leah! This is a good deal which I myself already have. But thanks for sharing this deal. Hot from me.

I resigned up with a new email and got 2 vouchers
Now you have to spend to get any decent vouchers. They shot themselves in the foot doing these offers in the first place fantastic for us not for them. We used to go out as a group 5/6 years ago with all our new borns have a freebie each every month and sit in the cafe for a couple of hours. Op great little reminder and good for those that don't have it for the first 2 free vouchers.

How you blame the partners?
They have changed deal now. You get a free pastry when you buy a hot drink

So it's not "free coffee and cake" anymore..
I think it varies. I’ve received 2 free drinks & cakes & also a free coffee when you buy a cake or pastry.
We, as a couple and also as a family, are JL customers of many years and always first choice for electrical and electronic items as both their returns and guarantee policy are first class.
Customer services are excellent.
As with many retailers there has also recently been a number of changes the prices without price match are often not at all competitive and as others have noted customer perks have been reduced or withdrawn. In my opinion this is not good for customer loyalty or goodwill.
Just my thoughts.
Is for me
Been a member for years and think I had about ftwo vouchers in that time. Glad others have been more lucky
The best free tea and coffee: at home. Just don't go out and you serve free tea and coffee!! But guess what. You paid for your tea bags, cake, boiling water, milk and sugar. JL has giving you enough free stuff

Has your voucher been in the wash?
I'm still getting free coffee and cake. Mmmmmm.
This scheme should generate goodwill but it’sToo random. I bought a new fridge freezer there just after New Years and have only received the same 2 vouchers for ‘free hot drinks when you buy a pastry’ as my other half who hasn’t bought anything there for ages
And as a bonus you get all the benefits of the Never Knowingly Underpriced policy.

I recently had to accept new t+c's to keep getting anything, you might of missed it mine was in a junk folder found it by accident

Still free coffee and cakes twice a year, I have multiple accounts some do come without but most still free cake and coffee

Yes I did get an email like that fairly recently. I don't think it will make any difference though.

You have to accept the new t+c's or they drop the membership ie no more cakes all to do with the new eu data laws

I had two accounts and they used to send coupons for free coffee & cake, but stopped doing that ages ago.
I received literally NOTHING from them by post or via email in the last 5 years, apart form a notice that they want me to agree with their new T&C (arrived a month ago).

Btw, can I borrow your time machine?
No cake or coffee offers in months and nothing via post either!

The worst cake ever. Every time I've had the cake it's been disgusting and practically inedible. Whenever I've asked for hot chocolate they've caused a massive scene and refused or charged me extra - at the time the voucher stated free hot drink. Also I spend a fortune in JL and the last time I had a voucher from them was in 2018. Not impressed.

Yes mine have stopped coming, must have changed the criteria to how regularly you shop there.
We still seem to get the free coffee and cake things but we spend a lot in JL and Waitrose. I wonder if there is a link there which would make sense, don’t spend there why get anything free? Spend plenty get extra reward.
Great vouchers. You can upgrade to a large luxury hot chocolate and any cake for only 30p. 🤤
The cake is a lie

Iam the same it's only if you buy a cake or pastry.
Two other family members and I all still get three or four voucher drops a year. One or two have the free coffee and cake (not in the same mailing periods).

Having said that, I think the ones we got at Christmas this year were specific to the Oxford Street (London) store, so it is possible we are not very representative and maybe it averages out a <= 1 standard totally free coffee and cake voucher for the average card holder these days.
If you call JL up and tell them you haven't had any vouchers through for ages, they usually post you some out (well they did in our experience)
