Expensive for loo paper. COYS!
Hats off to anyone who done well with 'AR$E' in their name
Thanks for posting up just ordered!
He was consistent at Arsenal a solid 4th or 5th place in the Premiership most years- one of the few Premiership managers good at taking kids that cost nowt and turning an obscene profit when they moved on to the slightly bigger clubs. Its just a pity he never seemed to get too much money back to spend on the squad.

Arsenal fans wanted Wenger out who's record was excellent, trophies Europe all the time, Champs League final one, never less than 5th. But they wanted him out because he wasn't winning titles.
Not a word from the press
Newcastle want Ashley out after 2 relegations, and relegation battles all but ONE season, managers some of which no team above Championship - some no tean above League 1 would entertain - Joe Kinnear, John Carver, Steve McClaren, Alan Pardew
And the Press ? Newcastle fans are ********* scream the rags.Ashley is wonderful, but only at Newcastle nowhere else....
Thats not attacking Arsenal fans - just the rabidly biased press (AND media)
I'd have had Wenger at Newcastle without a seconds thought

This is such a poor take it's unbelievable. Why can't you fathom the expectations are different at Arsenal and Newcastle? What you're saying would be like saying 'Tim Cook's been sacked?! But Apple made a £5m profit! My local corner shop would kill for that!' Right of course they would, they're a corner shop.

We were going downhill and the players had downed tools. It was infuriating genuinely seeing the same mistakes and the same midtable teams wiping the floor with us. The media is definitely biased against us, but these poor takes from outsiders looking in need to stop.

No doubt Arsene will shed light on the board, who no doubt hindered him also.
I think Arsene has no ambition of this going higher than 4th in the book charts.
This book may be invincible just be carful. YNWA
Thank you!

The "expectations" of people like you is success or you don't support.
Thats not what I call support.
Newcastle through atrocious management for 60+ years have went from a relatively successful club in the 50s, like say Everton - to nothing. Yet apart from a brief time when the fans boycotted to get the parasite directors out have always been there DESPITE awful results. And until recently the ground was sold out DESPITE results
Because you EXPECT success doesn't make you a good supporter. Quite the opposite
I know a lot of Arsenal fans and your mentality would embarrass them.

Simply not true lol, you know nothing about me, you've never sat in that stadium in that toxic atmosphere after a loss to a minnow like I have. The feeling was depressing to the point tickets went on general sale. People around the club were sick of it. Get off your high horse.

Didn't stop your sneering, entitled mentality when you answered me !
You did a fine job of displaying what kind of supporter you are.
Arsenal are without doubt one of the big guns (so to speak) and I never said anything contrary.
Newcastle have the potential to match that - but have never had the level of directors or management for an obscene amount of time. If this takeover goes through, we may begin to start the upward journey and NOT be held back.
Man City have - they've always been a well supported club, very similar actually to Newcastle in numbers over the years so it can be done.
Arsenal have been well run for decades. And my point is Wenger was great. Appreciate him more.
In the 20s to 60s Sunderland were known as the "Bank of England club" - look where they are now. Biggest club in the country before Arsenal took off was Huddersfield. And Arsenal snatched Chapman their manager who made Arsenal what the became.
Because you have been great doesn't mean you always will

Success is largely bought these days, with the notable exception of Ranieri at Leicester.

The likes of Newcastle don't have a chance (unless that long talked takeover by Saudi public fund and Amanda Staveley actually comes off and they can offer silly money wages) because the best players are drawn to Cheshire or London living with crazy wages.

Newcastle fans have high expectations because they genuinely love the team -and want them to do well - sticking with them through thick and thin. No Cockney Man Utd/Liverpool glory boy type supporters at St James Park.

There's far too much money in Football. You see pretty poor players bought purely to sell shirts I'd, your token Korean or Chinese player that would be lucky to get a game if they were ordinary Joe from the UK not pulling in all that shirt buying potential from unsaturated markets.

I'd like to see measures like Canadian Ice Hockey whereby every team in the league has a wage cap for the squad.

Hopefully COVID-19 lockdown and failed takeover or Debenhams has hit Ashley hard in the pocket so he has a strong incentive to sell Newcastle.

Calm down boomer, seriously. It's a football discussion, that's all.

I don't how why you keep talking about Newcastle as if it's even close to an apt comparison. I genuinely don't care about them, we're different clubs with different expectations.

Saying we're well run says it all. I'm done lol, this is pointless, you don't actually know the ins and outs or our club...

What about you with your initial pompous rant ?
Double standards aren't something you should let guide your life, chuckles

Ah finally. A voice of reason and thought !
True. But you'll always have the entitled brigade.
"We have been successful, so we DESERVE success !"
I actually heard a Liverpool fan rant that on Talk Sport many moons ago during the Man U domination - you always get the odd one. I have cringed listening to one or two Newcastle fans on 606. But my favourite was a fan of a London club once when Newcastle had won down there 2-1 - and the fan ranted how dirty Shearer was, and complaining to the ref, and the presenter Richard Littlejohn, agreeing with every word.
Only......a Newcastle fan phoned in a little later and said "Er........Shearer was injured - he was still in Newcastle !!!!!" and burst out laughing !

I used to have a season ticket, but it became such a chore to go and watch the Toon, horrible atmosphere that won't lift until Ashley has gone. The wife still has hers - had it since she was 10, but Fat Adhley is still taking money off her every month and probably still well into next season when she's not attended a game since Feb down to Covid and probably won't be allowed to mingle in a crowd for the best part of next season.
This will be in my local charity shop for a £1 in a few months, always the same with these autobiographies

If Wenger's book sells better than Jose's, then Jose will be the specialist at failure.
