My o2 app - check your allowance and more - free @ iTunes appstore

Not expecting this to get massively hot, but at the moment (possibly forever?) the My 02 app for your iphone is free. The app tells you how many texts and minutes you have used and how many you have left, the amount of your last bill and forthcoming bill data, what tariff you are on, your contract renewal date etc.
I was just about to spend 59p on a similar app and saw this - hopefully might save someone else 59p!

nah its different to that one, probably a very similar concept but gives more billing info, looks like its made by o2 themselves perhaps?

This is a nice little app and free! No bugs yet! Heat and rep op

You just right/control-click on the app icon in the iTunes store and there's an option for 'copy iTunes Store url'.

]This is the direct link to the app.

I would not be surprised if many people did not know they could have checked all this time on the o2 mobile site or did o2 not implement this for iPhone users until now via the app?

Shame it doesn't work for business users, same goes for the 'Allowance' app. I don't even have a business and they put me on a business plan as if it was any other plan. Pfft. No good for me.

Random fact: Did you know that O2 business users can ONLY check their allowance/minutes or texts left by actually calling customer services? There is currently no other method. So bad news if it's after 11pm. As told by O2.

useful, have some Heat.

Thanks for that, link changed!

thanks

The My O2 app doesn't work for me despite not being a business user, can't get passed the pin screen.

Heard earlier that they're having some trouble with the app. You don't really expect this kind of thing to happen despite third party apps working perfectly fine.

A restart of the iphone fixed most of my issues. Like getting past the pin screen.

Grabbed it earlier today. It is a bit crashy!

If you can't get past the PIN screen, just use the 'forgot pin' link, re-login and then choose a new pin. Hardly ultra-secure.

tried this method to try and get past the pin screen to no avail. would be a good app if i could get it to work on my JB 3GS

Voted hot from me - thank you - very handy to know

sick app

Doesnt work for me, i get a "Network Connection error" at the login screen. Checked my user/pass and they're correct.

This app works well and it's free!

decent app as gives more information unlike some other allowance apps
Only ever had a few problems with the network error but apparantly this error occors when O2 are doing anything to their site so the app cannot connect to O2

same sort of thing as 3g have on their phones, heat added for iphone users.

Cheers

Doesn't the regualar MyO2 that tells your balance for free work on an iPhone.

Another reason for me to be put off getting an iPhone is that they fleece you for all these apps!

Great application saves me having to send a text with a space to 21202 to find out my usage

Great app, prefer it to the allowance app.

Thanks to OP.
Could never make head nor tail of the web stats.

How do they fleece you when its a free app?!

And yes you can go on safari, log onto the o2 site, click on account details and find the info there, or you can just open this free app and look there - much easier when you have no wifi access
