Got one of the 10th Anniversary My Passport Ultra Metals a few years back, squirrelled away and had not seen many, if any gold ones come up for sale since, but this just popped up as in stock, so got one...

This is the 1TB ultra metal in GOLD, lowest it has ever been and FREE delivery included, even though it is not £50 or more worth of items. Just click the browser back button once the cart page is showing and then click forward, it will add free standard delivery...

The Ultra Metal version comes with WDpro software so you can back as a local drive, to dropbox and vice versa so dropbox can see the drive as a storage point / backup device both ways.

Never opened my 10th anniversary one, but will be opening this one and using it, as it will match my Sov's & Capri nicely

I've been waiting for ages for the 3TB silver to come into stock. These are really decent value drives, defending on people's attitudes to them being recertified.
These are good deals always spoilt by the shipping cost.

I was waiting on the 2tb version of the metal, mainly as did not have one, got bored waiting for wd email alert, so rang them up this morning, to enquire about any forthcoming stock of this stupid cheap value per gb drives... pointed me to the 1gb ultra metal ones, which have the better drive inside and got one..

This is the lowest *decent branded* 1TB by price anywhere and seems to be selling (no Gold ones!) for £15+ more on fleabay/dumtree!

Once you have one in your cart, on the cart page, before you go to checkout, go back a page, then click forward in your browser, click "standard del" and it will be free, if that is not working, click on "express del" then click back, then click forward, then choose "standard del" and it will be free
Argh I was too quick to moan. Free standard delivery on these anyway.
Gone for a standard 1tb 28.99.
No issue in decertified as bought one last year and still going strong.

Which one did you get for £28 @pcastley as that is also a fab price, did look so either missed them or being a bit dumb finding it!

A dataset of total one is hardly an indication of relaibility for subsequent purchases, although I would agree with the general inferred (but flawed) assumption.
can all wd drives be backed upto dropbox so how does this work with dropbox if i have files on the drive and attached to comp, will i see it when i login to the dropbox web portal?

The way gold is hammering to $1500, you may well do! Safer bet is pop one on fleabay with the £1 max selling fee's offer and take the £50+ they make!
