2. The directors of MyLotto24 claim the prize and immediately transfer the monies to some offshore Caribbean island with no extradition treaties with the UK before rapidly jumping on a plane and liquidating their company

Has anyone used this before? Bit unsure about handing out driving licence details
@GaryMcCann - We've had a couple of posts before, didn't personally have any issues at all. Comments on them could help any other questions too hotukdeals.com/dea….uk

I doubt a real ticket exists, you aren't entering the lottery you are betting on the result. Would you back a horse at 150,000,000/1?

Is this compatible with cashback, post isn't very clear.
Not sure @jaydeeuk1 - think we should get the editors to add some flashing lights or something?

Course I would! Gotta be worth a quid even if the horse has 3 legs and is blind. All the other horses might fall.

In the unlikely event that someone did win the jackpot, these lottery betting firms don't actually pay the whole jackpot from their own funds.

Their business model was to basically go to their insurers and tell them they've got these gamblers who are willing to bet on crazy odds and it would be practically zero chance of them winning, but how much would it cost to cover the risk? They pay the premium, so the jackpots are covered by their insurers.

The company itself would probably want people winning jackpots as it would be fantastic publicity and attract even more customers.

As far as winning lotteries though. I always use this example:

The number of seconds in a year is
60 x 60 x 24 x 365 = 31,536,000

We'll treat each second as an individual lottery ball. Winning most lottery jackpots is more difficult than choosing that one lottery ball out of the 31,536,000.
