I have the 256gb version of this. They are absolutely appalling. It writes a couple of hundred MB to stick and then pauses for about 10 seconds. It does this repeatedly throughout a transfer. So if you want to do transfers that are larger than say 100MB don't bother. Mine cost 22 quid. Waste of money.

It's good for the price and well made
Ordered... Be aware write speeds are advertised as 60mb/s. Read speed 200....60 still isn't bad for a tenner. Heated as well

Are they still trying to shift these?

Agree excruciatingly slow, don’t waste your money!
Save your cash... I should have sent My Memory USB 3.0 Flash Drives back!
Write speeds are the most important aspect for me and these are dire. Cheap though but for a reason. Next USB I buy will get 350MB+ read/write and yes I'll be paying for the privilege of course.

You missed my point. My point isn't the write speed itself but rather the starting and stopping of the write. It consistently hangs during the write. It's a common issue.

Wish I had done that too

Sorry, assumed your point was about write speed. Probably as a result of the first replier. I've not come across this hanging problem before. I've long suspected MyMemory have cheaped out on parts. The first of these pen drives were really good.

Mine gets close to 60MB/s. If they are specifying that speed, you will get very close to that in my experience of buying 3 of different capacities at different times.

My memory change the specification of these often. Sometimes 60mb/s write, sometimes 20, sometimes 10.

I've found that you do get what they specify, so they are honest. Unfortunately unless you check what the read speed is at the time, you may buy when they don't specify a write speed (which they also do) and consequently get a proper pooh pants one
