Depends on the needs of the user - if you're recording 4k video then yeah, the other one for the write speed will be better, but for storage and/or photography then this one is fine and cheaper.

I use the CF card version of this one in my 5D MKII and it's perfectly fine with 1080P video.

Would this be any good in a San Disc player? I've bought the player as a Christmas present but not sure what card to get. Many thanks

I think you need a micro sd card, check info on Amazon
I presume you mean a Sansa clip or similar.

According to the Amazon website..

It says you need a microSD or microSDHC card - so I'm afraid this one won't work for you. Sorry
