Saw this and it's the cheapest I've seen them before. Really good addition to your whey protein for those well needed carbohydrates.

Free delivery over £35 but 2.99 for standard if not which isn't the worst. Plus if you are like me then you'll be buying 3 bags or so to stock up.

Should probably mention; other supplements like creatine monohydrate and BCAA's are 45% off too.
So this is just oat flour
I read a bit of stuff on carbs .. And when any of them are crushed into flour it works in a bad way
That instant conversion to sugar starts happening

Yum.
May be best price atm, but it's reasonably often available for £4 per 5kg (instant oats). You have to wait until they run a 40% 'sale' on the headline price and then use one of the uniquitous discount codes. Usually they control discounts so protein never falls below a certain price, but the other products can become very cheap.

Bought 20kg at the start of the month.

Any idea what carbohydrate is better for a mass builder shake (can't get enough cals from healthy eating)? Currently pair 30g whey isolate with 80g of instant oats for a mass builder shake at around 450cals. Do you know of a long-chain powdered carb that can be used in shakes, or is it the case that the fact it is processed into flour makes any of these carbs rapidly metabolised? Cheers.

Processing oats will cause more of a insulin response then if eating whole, as they are digested quicker. This isn't a bad thing as a insulin is a storage hormone so if you spike your insulin after a work out the protein is easier for the muscle to uptake. Bare in mind when insulin is high you will store ingested fat so around insulin spikes avoid long chain fats. I also use banana and mct powder to add calories shakes mct is a medium chained fat that is metabolized by the liver for energy and your body doesn't store this.

I am pretty sure the insulin command is to turn sugar in blood to fat ~ Not store injested fat ~ Other wise the high amounts of blood sugar would not drop. The very reason for the insulin command in the first place

Insulin regulates blood sugar levels. To much sugar, it stores it to lower it. If it is low it pushes stored glucose into the bloodstream. If your body doesn't require the energy from carbs It is stored as glycogen in the liver and muscles first any excess after that is turned into fat. So if you body is doing that what will it do with ingested fat. Store it.
