Asked online chat if these are short dated. They could not give me a date but said snack products which they classified this as should keep for 7 days.

Just bought 5 for £6.70 delivered which seems cheap. I'll freeze some of them if they are short dated.

Yes I have had purchased them before. Both the smoked and unsmoked. They are not as tasty as full fat cheese; can be a bit rubbery but are fine when melted on toast. I've used this cheese in the past to make cheese omelettes in a microwave.

I find them to be okay. Other people will too. Some others may not. We all have different tastes and preferences when it comes to food.

High protein and low fat will make you fat. Protein without the fat spikes insulin more. Nothing wrong with fat.

A good idea though to avoid trans fats

Just added one to my order which I was placing before your post. Good timing.

Oh yeah, for sure. But generally you should stay away from anything that says 'Low Fat' or 'Reduced Fat'... not least because half the time they aren't telling you about the sugar in it, but mostly because your body knows how to process it more effectively.

High fat, low carb, and intermittent fasting is what all the up-to-date research points to.

Just for info I went on live chat and this is a short date product (agent said "should be good for about a week or so) - not sure I can eat that much cheese in a week (was going
To order 10!)

I find it freezes well so I've bought some to grate and then freeze in batches

I've had this a couple of times, it's nice, only issues I had with it were it's a bit salty and 'watery'. Like how cheap cheese is wrapped straight after it's made.

Very true please people don't fall for this high protein crap... Snickers bars for £2 cause they are high protein . £24 for 12 x quest bars, because they are low carb and low fat (and of course high protein).

IF + stay active and count your calories and you'll be alright with normal cheese and normal chocolate bars. All about balance, unless of course you doing competition prep and you want to come out on stage

So how much protein stimulates an insulin response and makes you fat?

I wouldn't feel comfortable commenting. You would need to do your own research as is might be dependent on your size and other factors. But basically don't be one of those people mindlessly banging high protein, just because. Be careful of where the research comes from and and how old it is as well... because... observe:

"Another widely cited study in the Journal of the International Society of Sports Nutrition found that when healthy, resistance-trained guys upped their protein to 4.4g/kg/d—that's five and a half times the recommended daily allowance—their body fat didn't go up whatsoever over two months. (Competing interest alert: One of the study authors is the CEO of the ISSN, which is sponsored by two supplement companies that supplied protein supplements for the study. Make of that what you will.)"

I find it super, super easy mixing (higher) carbs into my diet and maintaining a constant weight as long as I do IF & time restricted eating (optional)... but to create decent fat loss I have to go keto & high fat.

I'm similar but I love carbs and they are my life Therefore I'm sentenced to one hour cardio sessions after every gym session.

I'll make a living from coaching, you keep spreading misinformation. You don't know the first thing about dieting, nutrition, none of it. People like you are why others remain stupid.

Apologies for not posting back sooner. The blocks of cheese I received are dated best before 31st August 2017. So a lot better than I was expeciting.

Each block was in a sealed foil bubble envelope with a small ice/ice gel type sachet.

The cheese was delivered on Friday.

Price is now £4.99 but there is a 25% discount code available.

Great to find out someone likes the product and made use of the deal.

Quite a few of the supplement threads on here descend into nutritional debates.

It can always be melted in with regular or light fat cheese.
