You don't have to install it btw. You can just press the install button once, cancel it and keep it forever.

I have never seen the point of installing launchers, the one that comes …I have never seen the point of installing launchers, the one that comes with the phone does the job

If you just want something that does the job, then most launchers aren't made for people like you.

I have never seen the point of installing launchers, the one that comes with my phone does the job for me.

Corrected it for you. Some manufacturers' UI overlay can be poorly designed or a resource hog, plus 3rd party ones usually allow greater customisation, if that's your thing (obviously not yours). I think Huawei even did away with the app drawer at one point.

You've never had an Lg?:D
Any better than nova ?
Heat added, although I'm liking the microsoft launcher currently. Purchased for future use

maybe your right, I can imagine some phones that dont have the latest android might need a fresher look
Worse than stock launcher, installed this when it first came out many months ago and also was free
Go launcher is the best
Just tried it and similar to nova but can't import nova settings so uninstalled.

Added functionality, customisation and potentially reduced lag are the main reasons.

Gonna stick with Google launcher. Thanks for posting though. Food for thought.

For me it was moving from a Nexus 5X 5.2" screen with 5 icons across to a bigger Lenovo P2 5.5" screen with only 4 icons across on stock. Tried a few launchers till I found one I was happy with that got all my favourite icons back on the home screen for easy access without scrolling - 5 across.

That may not be important to you but it is important to me.

Thanks. Tried it, but went straight back to Nova.

The point is features not included in stock launchers which some people want. Something as simple has having more rows/columns for apps in the app drawer for example.

I've tried loads over the years. Nova is my personal favourite.

They still disable it by default, icons just appear all over the place on desktops instead. God knows which random dice-rolling in management turned that one out.
Might be good but....... Nova.....nothing else needed

Why buy new clothes if you have a pair that fit? Why get new alloy wheels for your car if yours work? Why get a new phone when your contract expires?
People like new and different things. Variety is the spice of life.

I've not tried it. Just seen the screen shots on the play store.

Need a bit of help here, I have a galaxy tab 2 tablet where the android version only went up to 4.2.2. Would this enable me to run a newer version of android and reduce lag??

no
Not sure why ppl are questioning the point of these, think of it as a throwaway item, not losing money if you dont fancy it...!
Nice, but Microsoft Launcher is my fav tbh
This is often a free app..... even being the Pro version.

Pixel launcher is decent and free on XDA
I like Zen UI personally.
Microsoft Launcher all the way. Still, free is good if you want a choice.
Having unread counter without having to pay for Nova PRO is a good thing
I'd move from nova if i had not already paid for the pro licence
ive been using Lawchair & lawnfeed for a while now on my Mate 8, just like pixel launcher but better. nabbed this though, cheers OP
Google now launcher if free and the best

'Stock' isn't stock for everyone, and I HATE the Google Launcher, it's far too cartoony, personal opinion!

Nova Launcher is by far the best, no frills or extra apps for every single feature like Go Launcher, just simple design and customisable.

For some maybe, but launchers such as Nova Launcher offer so much more that others (myself included) find useful.
Lovely launcher and coolest app drawer... only if you knew name of each and every app by heart. Just installed it and find search option in app drawer. Doesn't show any app there.
Promptly back to #nova prime - so happy there!
