Great Phone :w00t: Great Inclusive Package :w00t: Clearly not

can any of those who added heat to this tell me why this is a good deal? Maybe I'm missing smth?

Its a not bad deal for the mins and txt and net usage but as the phone goes I bought one from nokia the day it came out only a few months ago there are now replacing it very soon with the much better n900, which will be the same price as I paid for the n97. So I would wait for the n900 now its been announced.

would suggest it's not a bad deal, just the typical going rate at the moment for people who need huge inclusive minutes and absolutely must have this hansdet.
18m variant of nearasdammit same mins / 500txt / web @ £45 / month available on Orange, although this could be reduced to equivalent of £35ish when factoring quidco and retailer cashback (triggers plethora of responses citing cashback unreliability etc)
mobiles.co.uk/ora…tml and dig for 18m term, 1200 mins Any Network Anytime + 500 Texts + Unlimited calls to landlines + 500MB Data + 6mths 1/2-price.

OP probably best qualified by:
if you need this amount of talktime / txts / web and this handset coupled to a preference for the Vodafone network it is a fair deal at the moment.

Why would anyone want to go for this when the Phones4U clearance deal is still available for £25pm over 18 mth contract phones4u.co.uk/sho…y=2

not comparable.
the p4u has less than half the talktime, zero uncharged landline calls outside of talkplan allowance, and zero web.

so to answer your question:
heavy users who don't want to acrue a huge monthly bill because for their requirements the p4u deal is inadequate.
