First Gen Nacon Revolution Pro Controller for the PS4

Controller is Grey

Seems like good value.

Never ordered online from them though.

Its also while stock / offer lasts or so I was told.

Kinda pricey still but a good price if its your thing,

Because that's a different controller from a different company at a different price.

Hmm
I feel like this is a lot of money for a wired controller. I get that it has macro buttons, but still.
ive got one, i like it, quality controller that can be fully customised
only downside is cable is a bit naff looking, mine still going strong at least 12 months old now..
Overpriced for what it is.
Have been using this controller for almost a year. It has 4 buttons at the back like scuff (buttons, not pedals). Trigger sensitivity can be increased so you don't have to push all the way. Joystick sensitivity can be changed. Has 4 profiles for different games. Only issue I had was the plastic bit holding the cable broke, emailed Nacon and they sent a replacement cable for free (took over a week). Gen 2 is very similar but has USB C.

Here's my 2 cents as a previous owner of this controller...

This controller is hot trash, very very flimsy. The wire is attached to the controller using very thin and fragile pins. These WILL break, sooner rather than later.

I have found time and time again, nothing ever really beats the official controllers... that goes for both my PS4 and my Xbox.

Last note, I previously purchased this controller from Game not too long ago for around £55. Can't comment on other controllers but the OG Dualshock 4 Trumps this controller in every department. AVOID

No honestly nothing, i dont get anything for bigging them up... ill probably get a Raiju if and when it breaks (unless the usb C one drops significantly in price!), if your heavy handed, a clumsy fool, or have toddlers, this may not last too long, my 8 month old has just started taking a big interest in the cable! its wired for the response time, as suposed to be a pro controller, all pro and e-sports stuff is usually wired, including headsets..just in case you think i keep mine in a glass case when not using it, im 6'1" 20 stone and have played rugby for the last 20 years, itll be my missus who breaks it as i leave it out when i finish with it and she just throws it away... like i said mine still working fine..

I've still got my Mega console thing from '92.

Depends how you use and the size/fabrics of the skin on the palm, the thing from Fantastic 4 has to buy a new controller every time he has a gaming session, human Torch has overheating issues like an average Xbox, safe to say the rest is transparent, and quite stretchy to say the least, and I'm not talking Armstrong.

Strange. Hori do make good controllers. Got a couple for old Nintendo consoles. Might be that the Hori doesn't include a headphone jack on that controller. For me that's no big deal. And I much prefer the Xbox layout over PlayStation controller layout. Think I'll take a flutter on the Hori one!
I owned this as I have been looking for an Xbox style pad as I can't get away with the DS4 but I had to send this back as the trigger placement caused me actual pain after a few days of use.

I ended up buying a Cronusmax Plus for £50 and an Xbox 360 wireless controller for £20 and it's perfect.

Yep, the triggers were the biggest let down for me with this controller (the cable is quite horrible as well too). Even though they used the tried and tested X1 design, they managed to mess the triggers up to make it uncomfortable to use. That and the hard (relatively short) cable, and it becomes more bother than it's worth. I totally understand including a cable for competitive FPS games, but why not give the player the choice to go wireless as well like the X1 Elite controller?

Also, how is the Cronusmax? I purchased a Brook Super Converter from amazon a few months ago because reviews said the input lag was hardly noticeable on it, but I couldn't overlook the imput lag, it wasn't good enough for me - I'm mega sensitive to imput lag though

But it is a cheaper price and wireless
I've got this controller myself, got it during the 'Days of Play' sale in 2017 for £70 from GAME and I don't regret it at all. Cracking price IMO, these have held a high price since they launched.

They stealth launched a 2.0 version that has a better connector cable(USB-C) and better overall functionality allowing you to macro buttons on the fly like the Razer Raiju - but good luck finding one other than on dodgy websites or Amazon secondary sellers.

A shame that for this price you don't get wireless functionality, and also because it's 3rd party you cant use the PS button to power on the console, even though it is officially licensed by Sony (dumb if you ask me!)

Still, feels nice in the hand, definitely good if you have larger hands too!

I purchased from Gamestop IE once (PS4 Console) and aside from a security warning from my card provided due to purchase being credited over in Ireland they were fantastic. Fast delivery to mainland UK and when communicating they were good too.

Well I use it on Siege and Cod WW2 and I'm loads better than when playing with it over the DS4.

I can't feel any lag at all, and I play PC with mouse and 144hz monitor so I'm very sensitive to stuff like lag and frame rate judder etc.

It's very easy to setup and works a treat with the wireless 360 controller.

Hori make some decent bits but this is a different animal. Nacon and Razer et al make (amongst other things) these high end 3rd party controllers.
Ok I've had one for 6 months. I should say 4. 3 have broken and 1 turned up incomplete.

When it works it's amazing and yes it's wired but that's for 0 input lag so that point is always mute.

Extra back buttons are great.

Voted hot but build. Quality is bad as each one that broke was in a different way

Thank you Sir. I think I will order one and give it a bash. I've heard things about it myself, but until I'd heard first hand, I wasn't going to take the chance.

Agree with the input lag. The standard DS4 is very low imput lag anyway, and on this controller I could feel there was even less (couldn't detect any whatsoever). From that perspective it was excellent. I didn't have a problem with the quality when I had mine, but sent it back because I didn't like it.

NP. Check your local Sainsburys as I got my Xbox 360 controller for £20 quid brand new. Get the Cronusmax with the Targus 4 port USB hub that Amazon suggests with it. All works flawlessly.
I've owned this controller since day of release 23rd Dec 2016 and the braided cable connection to controller has broken 3 times, lucky it has a 2 year warranty and I bought from Amazon.Nacon have a Revolution 2 out since October 2017 which is much better.Don't buy this...
Worth noting that nacon 2 doesn't have programmable macros.

Nacon Rev 2 had a total stealth launch, and I haven't seen a 'legit' seller, let alone one less than £100-110. This price is 100x better and the new controller really isn't worth the extra £40.
metallica1825 h, 38 m ago

Worth noting that nacon 2 doesn't have programmable macros.

This is also true of the Rev 2. They mentioned on Twitter that they removed that functionality as it was not 'competition legal' effectively, which is a fair enough stance to take. I personally have never found a us for the macros.

i agree with you, wireless option would be better, the problem here is that you would need to add a battery to the controller wouldnt you? make it more expensive then..

Xbox One Elite controller just comes with a couple of duracell batteries. You can add rechargeables or Xbox battery packs if you prefer. Something similar for this would have been easy enough. You wouldn't have to buy batteries if you wanted to use it wirelessly anyway
