The Grouse name probably doesn't do it many favours when it comes to paying £20ish for a bottle, but make no mistake that this is a very good blend (based on Highland Park and Macallan) and I much prefer it to the lesser Johnnie Walkers for example.

I've tried this and quite suprised how good it is . Not to be compared with the standard grain grouse.

Thanks, purchased as a Christmas present based on good reviews!

Cheers, that's another pressie sorted.

This stuff is terrible, I've had the misfortune of trying it a few times including before it was released to the public as a sample bottle. You can do much better for around £20

My father loves grouse, so was going to buy this but what do you recommend? TIA.

As soon as I see the term 'blended' I pass. Whisky should never be blended. Its an abomination.

That's very short sighted. I personally prefer single malts, but there's a lot to be said for craftsmen carefully blending different ages and flavours to achieve something great. There's some great blends out there. (personally though, I don't think naked grouse is one of them)

Pretty much all whisky is blended. The vast majority of single malts, particularly more mainstream ones are blends of various different whiskies of different ages and styles.
