From their website:
Get super-fast, safer browsing with our Virtual Private Network (VPN) from $2.88/mo.
Namecheap's new VPN service is the secure, unlimited, ultra-reliable VPN solution you've been waiting for! Stay safe on public Wi-Fi networks, keep your sensitive data hidden, and change your virtual location to unlock the Internet. Our world-class VPN operates in over 40 countries.
Seeing a few other VPN deals posted today, I came across this one looking online, which appears to be cheaper than the Black Friday NordVPN deal when taking out a 2 year plan (Save 51%).
Looks like a good deal from a popular web hosting and domain website.

Annual subscriptions come with a 14 day free trial - worth a shot.

When it's cheaper than the hottest voted VPN deal today I'm obviously a little confused.
all vpns are not the same
Agreed - I've been using Namecheap for approximately 10 years and found their service second to none. With the launch of a VPN service, I'd expect top notch quality.
I guess people not in the 'web hosting' market won't have heard of the company, and - a typical HUKD response - instantly assume it's an unknown / poor / dodgy deal, when in fact they're a large player in the market with a solid rating and brand image.
Well, if the many don't like it, the few can benefit instead. Happy to help.
