I know most people know this and it has been posted over a year ago but expired, but a few don't as unlike KFC it is at every branch, my wife works for the NHS and used her ID card to get the 20% off no problems.
A good deal for those chicken lovers out there....

Nando’s are proud to offer a 20% nationwide discount to all British Emergency Services and Military forces (Army, Navy and RAF) employees. This is our way of saying thank you!

How does the Emergency Services and Military discount work?
•When ordering your meal show the cashier your ID with the official NHS, Police, Fire, Ambulance Service or Military logo
•If your ID is not a photo ID you may get asked to show additional photographic ID, such as a driving licence
•The 20% discount applies to the cardholder's purchase - up to a maximum order value of £20 per order, per day
•This discount is not to be used in conjunction with any other offer, except for our Nando's Card scheme where you can still collect Chillies and redeem Rewards in the usual way. The discount cannot be applied to Online Takeaway orders or Deliveroo orders.

Nando's only apply it to one main meal order, not the full order.

I think this is unfair don't apply it or just reduce price by 20% for everyone. just because some people choose to work in government sectors why should they get benefits more than outside gouv sector. We all pay taxes and the end of the day

Everybody thinks they are poorly paid, overworked and exploited. If a discount was offered on that basis everyone would get a discount and it would effectively stop being a discount.

It's a perk of job, plenty of jobs have perks that others don't, if you want the perk then get the job. If don't think the perk is worth everything else that come with job then don't get the job. Just don't moan someone else gets a perk that you don't.

Just boycott them. If they can reduce the price by 20% for some, why not for all?
Also Dominos gives 50% off to Armed Forces (when you collect) or 40% if you want it delivered
Nice, one I qualify for. Heat added

What about all the people who pay for the police, ambulance, fire and military?

We are the ones who allow these services to exist and function.

All their staff do is sell their labour to us, often for quite good wages and terms and conditions.

Come on Nandos -give us kind, altruistic taxpayers a discount too.

Some people CHOOSE to work in the sectors because they daily put their lives on the line, dealing daily with abuse and ungrateful members of the public!

They aren't a charity, they can offer any discount they want to whoever they want for whatever reason they want. If you don't like it don't go there.

Plus your argument is stupid, why would you think giving a discount to one group of people means they can afford to do so to all. If they drop their prices by 20% for everyone that is obviously going to cost a hell of a lot more than dropping prices by 20% for a small, specific class of people. I would have thought that was obvious?

Think you'll find that the people who work for the Police, Fire and military pay their own wages too. Everyone pays council tax and PAYE tax.

People sound jealous and bitter.
Expires 2020...when Cameron dismantles the public sector.
some people don't half whinge...
What about when they put their lives on the line protecting you, if your door got kicked in and some thugs came to attack you who would you ask for help ?
they do a great job come rain or shine for not a great wage, so getting a few quid off a piece of chicken is small in comparison.:3
Arent the police extremely overpaid already?

due to the fact they risk their lives for you...if you want a discount go join the army or the fire, police ambulance etc and put your life on the line too

Every person who works within the police service is overpaid are they?

By what criteria do you establish that a person is overpaid?

a front line cop is on around £30k a year, he/she potentially puts their lives at risk for this going from one job to the next maybe getting shot at or stabbed, look at PC Nicola hughes and PC Fiona Bone in GMP who were shot and had a grenade thrown at them from that coward Dale Cregan, they don't know what job they are going to next if they will see their family again.....still think its worth £30k a year and 20% off your nandos.

I've always had it discounted for entire order
Voted cold, doesnt apply to me.
And even if i was eligible for it, still wouldnt apply to me as my meal always goes over £20! BURRP

I'm not here to argue validity of deal but a builders job is more dangerous and they are less likely to return home at the end of the day.
50% off if you're in uniform! Fiver for a decent hot meal when you're out and about Applies to desserts and purchases such as Peri-Peri salt and jars of sauce etc.

Edit: They also give you your chilli on your loyalty card with the discount!

Nice! Just wish it applied to other/all members of the HCPC not just NHS staff but hey ho, I'll just have to continue to pay full price
