PERi-PERi Chip Sprinkle

You asked Nando's to launch PERi-PERi salt so that you can sprinkle PERi-PERi onto your chips at home and enjoy the same flavour as in the restaurant. So they did! They called it Chip Sprinkle (because that's what you do with it).

So go on, sprinkle some Peri Peri onto your chips today, also fantastic on wedges and roast potatoes!

This is quite tasty, not hot at all but has a nice taste

hot - in more ways than one!

Not as good as Hull's chip spice though!

I cook it on my chips from frozen, tastes really nice.

I've tried many different types of Peri Peri flavoured chip sprinkle and for most I wouldn't go out of my way to try them again. But I would my friend for Nandos

You would what your friend?

Very nice. Works well on certain other things too, try on a barbecued steak. Yum.

Great with sweet potato mash and chicken!

Doesn't taste the same as in the restaurant?? Maybe its just me.

No it's not just you

The stuff you buy in jars is way too salty, definitely not the same stuff they use in the restaurants.

If you ask in the restaurant for some in a tub to take home though they always give some to me, worth a go!

Love it! Have some heat!

I bought some a while back and binned it. I think I have had some since which was better.
It tasted dusty and sweet, instead of spicy and salty.
They may have improved it since then though.

Exactly my sentiments on it - if they did it without the salt, so you add your own, it'd be so much better. Got a jar in the cupboard - been there for a year. If it was like the restaurant stuff, it wouldn't have lasted a month!

Not available in Gosforth, Newcastle store

I always look for these but can never find any. Hot!

Hot.

No sprinkle in mine but did find the 25g piri piri rub packets for 40p was 88p.

Makes sense. After all that 'what'ing, you'd be hungry. All dates should be like that:

She says "That what was great! You want Nandos then?"
"Oh hell yea!" I say

not the same as the stuff they use in the restaurants.

the stuff they use in the restaurants doesn't have huge grains of salt whereas this does.

also the one in the restaurants is more spice less salt, wheres these are more salt and less spice, in fact i see no difference between these and just using salt.

Is this nationwise do you know? If not what is your local? Might have to check if this is the case and stock up, they go through the stuff like crazy in my house.

No sprinkle in mine, but extra extra hot piri piri was 75p!

Same here, picked up the last two bottles, got the feeling someone had been before me and cleared the section of the Piri Piri sprinkle.

Same here. A bit gutted but very happy to pick up the extra extra hot. I'm the only one that is crazy enough to try it in my house :-p
