Great price, but really want ISOFIX and rear facing for as long as possible.. To satisgy both of thoese requiremetns seems to mean "expensive" :(.. Anybody know any good rear facing isofix 2+ car seat deals? Idealy upto 4+ or even 12+
does anyone know if this actually reclines properly forward facing?

Hauck varioguard is cheapest isofix erf.
Other options are joie Stages isofix version goes to 18kg rf then turns into hbb to 25kg and joie every stage fx is rf up to 18kg (belt fixed) and isofix hbb to 36kg.
If you want to stay safely rf for as long as possible avoid isofix seats as they (with the exception of concord reverso) only go to 18kg.
Britax TWE and Radian 5 are best value 25kg erf seats.
Then buy a decent hbb once erf seat outgrown.

Lilmonkey isofix only goes to approx age 4 there are weight limitations on the brackets. If you want rear facing for as long as possible you will need a seat fitted using the seat belt and tether straps.
Look at the Britax 2 way elite. It should be okay to age 6 ish.
There is no rear facing seat that goes to age 12 unless you go for one that turns around like the joie stages / everystage though that can only be used rear facing to approx age 4 due to the harness that is used when rear or forward facing being only suitable to 18kg after which you use it forward facing as a high backed booster with the car seat belt
This seat doesn't recline and the nania I max only meets the very minimum safety tests. 30 mph forward impact, 20 mph rear impact and no side impact testing. Google crash test and the first result has the headrest come off in the crash.

The safety tests mentioned above are the standard r44/04 testing that all EU seats must conform to... in reality who is going to drive that slowly?! Also doesn't factor in combined speeds (e.g. 2 cars travelling at 30mph actually have combined impact speed of 60mph) and this level of testing goes nowhere near that.
Nania (also kiddicare, babystart and others made by same company, I can't remember names) are cheap because they've only been tested to these minimum standards. Often recalled for problems too as well as being rated as 'Don't Buy' seats.
We've bought joie Stages car seats for the grandparents cars - keep them safely rear facing for longer.

Thanks for the info much appreciated
Another vote for the Joie Stages as a 'grandparent proof' child seat! It's rear facing to 18kgs, which is on average 4 years old (although my petite 5 1/2 year old is perfectly happy rear facing in our car and my parents car in the Stages). Very easy to fit, and also quick to adjust for different children (it can be used 18-25kgs forward facing as a high backed booster, you don't have to take the harness out of the seat it just hides away easily).
